1. Lol, that’s funny 🤣 good find.
2. Rent free is this thread being posted because someone got Butthurt over ESGGCG so badly they scampered home to tell their “friends”.
3. The community portrayed in this video has a football team that beat the gris 55-21 on CGD last season. Yikes. A priceless experience none of us will ever forget.

Shouldn't you guys be spending your time worrying about how you're going to squeak out a win at powerhouse UT? Bunch of weirdos.

Bubkittys are always looking for any kind of good news that will help them hide that self loathing and make all their other low or nonexistent self esteem issues kinda go away for a couple of seconds...
Lil' bros do that....

So, congratulations cupcake, I found some for you!!

Maybe the DSM-5+ will provide some guidance on WHY scat fans generally, not exclusively, act in such a sh*theaded manor, as to rate psychological analysis. Scatalogic derangement syndrome or some such blather.

What complete and uder BS. That's so so not accurate.

The dog's name is Bridger or Madison. Not Amadeus. If you ski its Bridger of you fly fish its Madison.

Everybody in Bozeman knows that.

"Mob mentality -- also called herd or hive mentality -- is the inclination that some humans have to be part of a large group, often neglecting their individual feelings in the process, and adopting the behaviors and actions of the people around them." In other words, sheep thus their fascination with a mangy barn cat named Chump and the rodeo team. Go figure :ditto:

I mean its part of the mentality. Beat the griz all day every day. Every day just doesn't mean the football season or just at Cat/griz games. It's every day. Even Jelly Roll concerts. It's not rent free. It's a mantra to live by. I wake up each morning to an alarm of "ESG GCG" and whisper it to myself as I put my head down on my pillow at night. (And it's my pillow, not a My Pillow). I've even been known to chant it while getting romantic with my girlfriend, a former um cheerleader. Just another way to display Cat dominance over the griz.

I'm actually not a fan other than at Cat/griz. Or at weddings. Or in bars in random out of state places so everyone can wonder what you're on. Or at Trump rallies. I mean if you're surrounded by crazies you have to fit in, right?

One fan's opinion:

The Streak era has left a mark on both fan bases that impacts the current dynamic.

It gave a certain segment of Griz fans a raging superiority complex. I think this is why so many of them pretend not to pay attention to MSU; they go out of their way to tell everyone that they don't ever think about the Bobcats. This group also can't deal with it when the Cats are just better on the field. It breaks their brain.

On the other side, that era left a lot of Cat fans with a total inferiority complex. A lot of them manifest that by absolutely refusing to be confident and giving way too much credit to lousy opponents. It also is what I think is behind taking every and any opportunity to try and get under UM fans' skin (e.g. with the ESG chant at random events).

1) AKA retarded cult member. Would you like some Kool Aid?
2) Bunch of Lemmings.
3) The Streak left an entire generation with PTSD? The Streak ended 21 years ago!
They have had kids, and now those kids are chanting this sh*t. Learned generational deviancy.

Scat fans are like that crazy relative nobody wants to have anything to do with. Pathetic.

Yes, Bozeman has exploded. For people that have lived there for years it is a disaster. Can it be stopped? No. It is a beautiful place and it has been promoted in national publications over and over. Thus, people flocking there. Missoula is probably next. So, be prepared. This is not going to stop. You already have the guy that did more to change the culture and livability in Bozeman for the worse, building in Missoula. He knows it is going to be the next hot place. He is an out-of-stater and he does not care what happens. He will make his millions and be off to the next hot community to ruin.

I like Bozeman. Yes, lots of changes and housing cost problems. Good place to have a family lumberyard started in late 40s. I like Missoula much more. Better football in Missoula.

Hoops, yes it is a great place to have a lumberyard with all the crazy growth going on. I used to spend a lot of time in Missoula. Always had a good time and yes, it is a nice place to live. However, the problems Bozeman is experiencing are on the way to Missoula. As far as the football, I agree it used to be better. Not so much the case the last few years. ;)

That town is about as far removed as you can get from Montana anymore. I couldn’t believe the change the last time we had to go through there. Between the traffic and $100k vehicles and the wannabe Montanans up and down from Belgrade to the Big Sky. It literally represents everything that school used to hate and avoid representing as an agriculture and engineering school. Leaving behind a conundrum for those that are old enough to have lived through decades worth of beatdowns. Do we maintain our identity or sell our soul to out of staters for a taste of success. It’s obvious. Bozeman specifically was ranked the #12 Most Moved to City in the U.S. in 2022, with 222 residents moving into the state for every 100 residents moving out.

In 2021-2022 the breakdown of students across undergraduate and graduate programs at MSU was 53% Montana residents, 47% non-residents (including WUE). However, of note 34% (1,303) of the entering first-time students were Montana residents. Of the remaining, 65% were from other states (2,540) and less than 1% were from other countries (25). Notice the trend.

At for UM on the other hand it’s the opposite, 35.23% of all UM students come from out of state, and 1.16% come from out of the country. Leaving 64.77% in-state enrollment. Of note 53% of the entering first-time students were Montana residents while the remaining 47% were from out of state or out of country.

I get the point of your post, about MSU and Bozeman feeling far removed from Montana, but at least MSU's admission department and leadership had the foresight 10+ years ago to recognize that in order to keep growing the institution, they were going to have to focus heavily on recruiting out-of-state students. They understood that high school enrollments in most Montana communities would be declining, so MSU opted not to go all in on trying to capture an increasing share of a decreasing market. Their strategy worked and, despite the angst it causes UM fans and alum, their dramatic enrollment increases have opened the door to so many more opportunities, sponsorships, and resources at MSU. Everyone wants to be part of a winning team, and that extends so far beyond athletics.

boozeman ain’t Montana anymore. In fact, it’s fucking ruining Montana. The last best place is getting trampled and the the tracks lead straight from that shit hole. I wish we could excise it like a tumor.

Last night bubz in boozeman were doing their chant after an jelly roll concert which I can only assume was indoors, probably in the BAC….

While last night in Missoula, Modest Mouse and The Pixies played at an amazing amphitheater near the river, and I can promise you nobody gave a fuck about the bubcats

Beware, what has happened in Bozeman is now also happening in Missoula. In fact, the same developer that started it in Bozeman is now in Missoula too, doing the same thing. Like I said, he will make his millions building condos and apts. that the locals cannot afford, causing a shortage of affordable housing and then be gone.

Nope. The terrain and population may change near Hellgate valley but the attitude never will. We’re hippies with love for Mother Earth, unlike all those assholes in Gellatin valley with no respect for consequences or the land. It’s always been that way, and why your crap town attracts crap people, and is spiraling toward a version of future Vegas from The Stand.

I know you like to think it won't change but it already has started. With all the new people moving into Missoula the attitude will change. When affordable housing becomes scarce the old will be gone and replaced by the new people with money. You can't stop it. It is inevitable.

Isn't this a great example of the unregulated, capitalistic society that everyone in Montana is such a big believer in? Why would a smart businessman not develop land, build condos and sell them to rich out of state people with money? If the locals are priced out they can work two jobs to afford an apartment. I hear there is still affordable land in South Dakota, all you commies can just move there.

It's happening everywhere! Where I live, there used to be this giant plot of open land right across from the beach where there was an open pit left from oil drilling or something. It was great because you could go down there and throw shopping carts and other stuff into the pit. Then, some fancy developers came in with all their money and turned it into a freaking modern outdoor mall with nice restaurants and shit. Then, they had the audacity to build these modern buy/lease condos right behind the mall. A lot of people, myself included, miss the days when you could just go down there, urinate into the pit, and meet a few crackheads. Now, it's just this modern mixed-use area and I haven't seen Slimy Scotty in years. It's a nightmare.

You don’t know how I like to think. You don’t know shit about me, old man, despite all of your constant efforts to creep on me and discover my personal info like a stalker living in a retirement community in AZ with nothing else to do.

You can speculate all you want about my thoughts and the future, but today’s reality is that boozeman is a real shit hole. Currently. Right now. Not that it’s “gonna” be as your truly intellectual coach from North Dakota might say.

I know you like to think boozeman is some “paradise valley” but the truth is, it’s going to take the hand of God and an unaccounted for nuclear weapon to clean it up.

That's funny. When I get over to Bozeman what sticks out are the number of people living there who have no interest in MSU as a university, couldn't tell you about the team, the conference, etc. Last time I was there, I made a remark about Steve Daines being a Bozeman guy, the person I was talking to didn't know who that was.

I suppose locals cling to the bobcats as something recognizable in a town where Montanans are probably less than a third of the population. ESGGCg is about has hickish as preceding every conversation with what nth generation of Montanan you are.
