No, it’s not Griz FB or even FCS, but it is football … and interesting. Last night was not good for the sports books: http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/18445588/clemson-tigers-victory-crushes-las-vegas-sportsbooks

Las Vegas sportsbooks take big loss on Clemson Tigers' victory

Bookmakers estimated $15 million to $20 million was bet statewide on the game in Nevada.

It cost William Hill a seven-figure loss and was the "single worst loss on any game ever" for the company.

Clemson closed as a consensus 6-point underdog to Alabama. At William Hill, the game attracted more than double the amount of money compared to how much was bet on the New York Giants-Green Bay Packers wild-card game.

A message from one bookmaker right after Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson connected with Hunter Renfrow for the winning touchdown summed it up simply: "Ouch."
Actually, like a lot of people, I expected a defensive struggle. I figured the bookies might lose big anyway, with the 6.5 spread that was posted right up until the last (when it slipped to the 6 noted in the article). We didn’t have a pony in the race, but I just figured the "experts" were wrong in expecting 'Bama to win by a TD ... I thought 3-4 points (FG or TD minus a FG).

Did not quite turn out that way, and they blew right through the under-over of 51. ;)

Happy to say I took some $ from Vegas on that game too!! Took Clemson and the 6.5 point spread right out of the gates. Fortunately Vegas didn't let me change my bet in the first quarter or I probably would have done so.

I was in the exact same boat.
