Bobcats vs NDSU

Cats lead by 1 with 2:30 to go after a Marvin Moss 3 pointer. Foul on Durham on the other end right after Dissly steals it. Free throw misses, NDSU rebounds and puts it back in. 71-70 NDSU leads. Foul on NDSU away from the ball. Jefferson at the free throw line..he hits one. 71-71 with 2 minutes to go. NDSU goes for a three, blocked by Beye. Cats ball. Beye is fouled. He hits the first, misses the 2nd, cats up by 1 with 1:27 to go.

NDSU scores on a layup after a good pass. 73-72 NDSU. 1 minute left. Timeout cats...50 seconds left, 10 seconds on the shotclock, bobcats down by 1. Announcer reminding us that NDSU hasn't won on the road this year, but have had several close games.

Double dribble called on Moss. NDSU ball, 42 seconds left, up by 1. NDSU hits a 3 pointer with 9 seconds to go in the game. Cats hit a 3 (Durham) with 5 seconds left. NDSU fouled with 4.4 seconds left, cats down by 1. Cats have no timeouts. NDSU misses. Durham shoots at the buzzer from near the top of the key, no good. NDSU wins 76-75.

Tough loss for the Cats. Really an up and down game with a few 3's exchanged in the last 10 seconds. Durham had a look at the buzzer, but was short.

I think the cats are going to have a lot of close games, I don't see them blowing anyone out this season. If Durham is your go to guy you are in trouble
 
Oh well..at least we'll get to enjoy the furious rantings of the cat fans that take every loss like its a personal insult to them and their mother over on bobcatnation :P Of course that wont start for at least another 30 mins, when they get home... Unfortunately the BB rantings aren't nearly as entertaining as their football rants over there....

Anyway, tough loss for the cats.....tough day so far for the Big Sky as a whole..only win (besides NAU over a non-div1 opponent) was Sac State over Denver. Hopefully the Griz will pick up a win tomorrow night over #22 in RPI Wisconsin-Mil & give the Big Sky (And themselves) a huge boost :)

You are right about that. I imagine we will hear more about firing Durham, countered with Mick is the winningest coach in BSC history, countered by he only has 1 conf title in 15 years, blah blah blah

a agree that we will have nothing but close games. i think our 3 point defense is the worst in the nation. seriously. but i don't think that durham will be our "go-to" guy normally. but he's our fastest and maybe quickest player so in situations like down a point with four seconds, he's gonna be the guy. normally i'd say moss but he played his worst game as a bobcat tonight so even with more time it wouldn't have been him! anyway, this cat team is going to give me a heart attack for sure because there will be no easy games.
 
You mean you're going to start having heart attacks, too?

I can't give you a good explanation what the hell is going on with our basketball team right now. They just haven't played up to their potential at all. I don't know who that "go-to" guy is right now; strangely enough, Durham seems to be the only starter that's improving. I hope the Cats can catch lightning in a bottle and pick it up. They were picked to win the conference and haven't played at that level yet. We've played a lot of close games and I think Grizbacker is right that there won't be any blow-outs for the Cats. I hope we can give you guys a good game on the 14th.

I saw that same score on USAtoday.com, so don't kill the messenger. I couldn't believe that and clicked on the boxscore and it had the correct one, but he isn't the only one who saw the 94 listed.

MSU,EWU and ISU are all sucking it up. The Griz are the clear front-runners now.

Those scores go out over AP Wire so the typo is seen by many.
