Bobcats at Wyoming

Hey this isn't fair. I've heard MANY times this year that your backup is better than your starter. In fact, a poster on BN said your backup is the greatest you've had. That seems par for the course.

I don't think any sane person would say the Cats have the best qb room in the conference. But that came from garrizzes "neighbor" who is no doubt fictional.

But I don't see how any Cat fan could have an issue with our qb's per se. McKay seems to be a great get, although small sample size. I love that Mellott is getting in games. I'd bet money that had he went to the griz you all would be excited about his body of work as well.

And as I said, in regards to QB3 and 4, I think we're in trouble if we're in a position to start wondering if our third or fourth string player is better. But I have yet to hear anyone in real life suggest that. Just some "neighbor"....

 Well, I haven't read that from anyone who still has posting privileges on eGriz. I don't read BCN more than once a year or so, so I don't know what's posted there and I'll take you at your word. IDK anything about Mellott's body of work, either. It's safe to say I get 99.8% of my Bobcat news on eGriz.
This is fair. But I think if we're going to discount the opinions of band posters, we should discount the opinions of fake neighbors of posters here whose only goal is to come across as witty as yourself.

My neighbor tried telling me the bubcats have the best QB “room” in the BSC. At first, I thought he was talking about some space in the new lean-to shed that has walls and even flooring.

But no, he was referring to the actual players in that room. I also assumed he was including the cowboy LBer, but wrong-o again-o.

His basis for such an absurd proclamation? He said last year’s semifinalist QB is now QB#4 and QB#2 is a true freshman who splits time with QB#1 but only for running plays. I asked about QB#3 and all he said was the kid is 6’10”.

None of this sounded good to me but there’s no reasoning with them.
How come?

So far QB1 looks to be pretty good. Can't find anything glaringly negative to say about his play so far. But I'm sure you guys over here will so curious to hear it.

I don't know if Mellott is QB2 for certain, but he has been seeing some time in wildcat stuff. It's been forever since we had a stud from Butte on offense and I think many of us are excited about him. Like that we're finding ways to use him.

I haven't paid enough attention to really know whos QB3 and QB4 between Bauman and Rovig. If I'm being honest I don't want to find out. My guess is if something happened and QB1 went down, I'd be shocked if it wasn't QB4 (Rovig) taking the reins. As I said, I hope I don't have to find that out.

In regards to the cowboy linebacker, he's played almost as many snaps at QB this season than he did in 2019. I can only PRAY that Hauck prepares for him to be QB1 like he did last time we met. :thumb:

Given his coaches' over use leading to injury history, I'd say the odds are 50-50 Bobby won't have to prepare for him at any position if they keep bringing him in on offense this year.

He hasn't played a snap on offense this year (that I have seen at least)... And his coach is on his 1st year at MSU, so hasn't overused him ever on Offense.

This confuses me. The real question in Bozeman has always been, "Are the backups better than the starter?" Now, were talking about whether the backups are better than other backups? We're just a few posts away from the time-honored, "Our backups would start for most teams" comment.

Sometimes, it’s like I’m in an alternate universe over here.

Troy had 2 passes in 2019. TWO. To his credit he was 2-2. That’s very good. Apparently that was enough for your coach to prepare all week for him to play quarterback in the brawl.

Fast forward to this season. Troy hasn’t played on offense this season. As a fan, considering his talent, sometimes I wish he would.

Considering these two facts, and your comments, I fully expect you guys to prepare all week for him to split time between wide receiver and punter.

How dare you? How. Dare. You?
You come in here with your kitten chest all puffed out like a little pair of fuzzy slippers and accuse me of lying with no corroboration or substantiation on your behalf. Only hurtful and personal conjecture. Worst of all, you not only fail to dispute any of the facts I provided, but also actually confirm them. In that scenario, the burden is in you to back up your web of lies and allegations or simply apologize.

Apologies. Your neighbor is most definitely a factual human being. :thumb:

Apology accepted. Didn’t think you had it in you.

BTW, I just saw the neighbor and he was wearing a vest again. Dude loves his vests. Got more vests than any other grown man, and I’m convinced no other fanbase in CFB wears more vests than bubbies. The other day he was wearing two vests at once. One was fleecy and of course the carhart vest. He has at least 8 different carhart vests and all of them are some shade of shit-brown. I’ve seen him pair a vest with shorts. Swear to god. Think I would make that up? I’ve seen him put a vest over a t-shirt with cutoff sleeves. I mean WTF is the point?
