Bobcat Wins in 2015

You keep Prukop from beating you with his running ability....then you beat the Cats...unless of course you want to gift them 3+ turnovers...

Which was bigger? Beating D-2 Fart Lewis or East Tennessee start-up freshman team?

Word is state college of bozeman is going to schedule those team's scout teams next season, because they need to pad their offensive stats more to make themselves feel good about something.

And then when they actually play real teams and lose they will look around and wonder why? Lots of confusion over there in bozeangeles. :-?

Their offense still scares me. We have not been very good against mobile quarterbacks this year so that is a cause for my concern. Secondly, even though we handled EWU Eastern's quarterbacks overthrew a few wide open long balls. I will rest easier when it is over if we win. AND if I see one more completed flea-flicker or halfback pass I think I'll puke. We should be able to stop that this late into the season after seeing it so many times.

Spy Gamboa on Prukop all day...game over!

Absolutely.

That and actually have our DE's do their number one responsibility, keep out-side contain (don't crash down and give it up).

And a huge key to the game, the Griz DBs need to do their number one responsibility, pass coverage; don't be miss-reading their keys and coming up and biting on play-fakes...that's what has allowed the felines go over the top time and time again for long, wide-open touchdown passes. They need to worry about their receiver, not vodka boy dancing around. hehe

Ya if I remember right..wasnt Gamboa out against CP when their qb tore us up on the ground??? In all honesty Gamboa is faster and probably a better athlete than Prukop...he could should be the guy that neutralizes Prukop in this game!!

Bring a trash bag...cats have executed these plays all season. Important to stop them to keep the crowd out of the game. Successful execution of trick plays brings fans to frenzy. Gotta play smart.

They have executed these plays all season long, because over-aggressive defenses (and Montana certainly is one) have their DBs peering into the backfield post snap, anticipating the crazy legs QB taking off...when in actuality the offensive play is anticipating that is just what the DBs will be doing, and thus it's AN EASY 7 POINTS for little sis.

I call for DISCIPLINE, Griz DBs!!! :thumb: Don't be fooled by the play-fake, because they are absolutely going to throw them at you looking for the deep ball. They have all year...and would love to stick it to you as well.

Cats have struggled rushing the ball this year. Don't let the stats fool you, we're 3rd in conference rushing yards per game but we struggle running the football. Our OL does't get a good push, we rely too much on Prukop making plays with his feet, which he does too much in my opinion. He has a propensity to take off too soon, even though he still has a good pocket sometimes.

Newell and Prukop are a good combination but we really miss Shawn Johsnon IMO. Newell will never bust a long TD run, and Brekke doesn't get as many carries as he should. Newell just isn't a good fit for this offense, yet he has nearly 3 times as many carries as Brekke (doesn't help Brekke was injured for 2 games).

Our WRs have a hard time getting seperation, and when they do Prukop overthrows wide open guys. Every single game he's overthrown someone wide open. He didn't do that last year, not sure why it's been a problem.

Our offense is still a really good offense don't get me wrong, but they aren't a top 10 offense like we were hoping they'd be.

Defense... well they have shown flashes but for stretches revert back into the I forgot how to play defense mode. We've shuffled some guys around and I think the group out there now is making progress, we played really well against ISU, but even then in the 3rd quarter we couldn't tackle a thing. Who knows which defense shows up.

He was out vs NDSU. However he played vs Cal Poly, Weber and Portland State and that didn't see to slow the quarterbacks down from running. Brown netted 130 for Cal Poly, Clark netted 84 for Weber and Kuresa netted 119 for Portland State and averaged 10.8 a carry.

The key is to get your eyes right and do your 1/11. We don't need a hero just fundamentally sound defensive play. Sometimes that is hard to do in the heat of the moment.

like this post but couldn't possibly disagree with this part more. I will concede there are situations where I feel the play call would better suit brekke but I think he's a great fit for this offense.

And Roderick....another of their MT HS Player of the year guys like Brekke that have just been killin' it all year. Fun to go back and read about this team on Bobcat Nation in August.
