I think this might be obvious but those teams were a lot better than our current squad.

meh not really. the 05 team was 8-3 and lost in the first round of the playoffs. 04 lost to 2 unranked teams that year. 03 team 8-3 first round playoff loss.

once again people want to think those teams were really really really good teams.That were all 9-2 at least. Most of them were okay teams but only a couple were top of the nation good (09 and 07). Those teams all got better throughout the year and come playoff time no matter if they were 10-1 or 8-3 we had a shot to make a playoff run because we played efficient football at year end. If you talk to players on those teams they will tell you. It wasn't that they were just better players than the other team...they were better teams. They worked together and got better through the years and learned from their mistakes. Thats what we havent done the last 6-7 years. we would lose one and then fall apart. BH I don't think will let that happen with this team

Putting it mildly if we don’t win 3 in a row after the wiu loss any big sky conference hopes are gone, any ideas of a playoffs are gone. Personally I think we play ucd at 5-1 in a pivotal bigsky game.

Were not going to win the big sky. I don't know anyone who thought we would. EWU will win out most likely and NAU might win all their games too. I don't think we are gone if we lose to say CP. Say we are 4-2 and beat UND and UCD and SUU. Then lose to ID or MSU. We still are 8-3. Personally I think the 2 toughest teams of the year...we already played. Depending on how UNI does...7-4 might even get us into the playoffs. Since the off balance scheduling I could easily see NAU, Weber, EWU and 1 other BSC team get into the playoffs. but don't let being rational get in your way

I believe the toughest game left on our schedule is UC Davis!

Yes, ND will be tough, but I have seen from UC Davis thus far, they look real good. No I know they usually fade away. We'll see.

That was the worst. Plus it gave their ten fans an opportunity to shit talk us for most of the game.

I was at that game. It was awful; the weather was miserable, and there was no hot coffee to be had in the stadium.

I know you are all about that UND win BW. ND is good, no doubt. Are they better that UNI or WIU? Not sure. SHSU played pretty poor. They dropped balls, They made ST mistakes, They let UND run all over them. They played poor defense. SHSU usually lives off of explosive plays by athletes and UND stopped them from deep plays. UND is good, they are the best team probably left on the schedule with it being on the road but they do play into probably our strength as a D, which has been the run D. as for UCD....they are a good offensive team but it will be interesting to watch them through the grind of the season. not sure if they are going to last some of those game and they have to come to WaGriz.

I don't think we lose to UCD, I think our D will do just enough in that one. UND i think we lose. Thats why I guessed 8-3.
