If Bobby had not been in such a hurry he would have ended up at a far better position and had a chance to be good. Instead he did what he did and slowed his potential by being a bit greedy and in the end it cost him.
"in such a hurry"... To borrow a phrase, Poppycock. Hauck coached here what seven, eight, years? You want to say he got "greedy", did Dennehey and Glenn stay that long combined... No both bolted after just a couple years. The allure of greener pastures is what it is.
This is what Montana football has to live with;
1) If we have a successful coach, he gets much bigger offers & leaves after a few years.
2) Alternately if we have a unsuccessful coach, he won't leave until forced to.
The only exception to the above is if we hired a coach who might intentionally want to finish their career here. In which case Bobby Hauck might be the ideal choice as he is unlikely to want to make that jump again.
