You can buy dead bulls at Costco. And Bobby can bring them back to life.

Once he gets his bulls, we will see some big changes in this program.
Sometimes bulls see the higher, greener better tended grass in neighboring pastures with different ranchers in charge and all that is left at the auction is heifers. Lots of you don't want to acknowledge that the balance of power has shifted. I've said it before but you can't just go to Costco and buy live bulls. Winning more than we lose may come back to some extent, and hopefully a few playoff years, but there is a very good chance it won't be the dominance that some of you are expecting.

I guess Bobby was a shitty hire then.

Not knocking the guys, they are just young. Remember the big and nasty NFL sized guys Bobby's teams had before well that is what we need. Sneed or any QB needs time, and for most of it they don't. Bobby said in his first press conference when he was hired that it was going to take time, he made no promises for this season. I think what has fans pissed is how strong we started the year and it's unraveled. Youth and need to shore up key areas are what is needed, Bobby WILL get it done !!!!!!!!
Bobby better recruit some D1 drop downs then, because youth is not the problem. This O line has Stitt's attitude and demeanor. Soft comes to mind. They are consistently man handled.
Yet it was Germer that recruited and coached them, then and now. And he is still here. I think the strength and conditioning coach is also the same - and still here.

But didn’t Germer and Stitt recruit “their” lineman for their offensive scheme? You can’t really throw Germer under the bus because these same guys aren’t working out in Hauck’s scheme.

& you let this interloper get by with just “Costco?” I don’t even know you anymore.
Dutch Lane said:I don’t know about that. It’s appears to me that the scheme has changed radically. Hauck is trying to run the ball more then Stitt’s heavy passing scheme. It takes a different skill set and even body type for the o line to effectively transition from one scheme to the other. I think it takes at least two years of substantial playing time to develop o line for what you are trying to do. Obviously O line play has been the Achilles heel of this team. Snead is constantly running for his life and never seems fully comfortable in the pocket because of the inexperience of this o line group that has been cobbled together by Germer from the old scheme. We heard from day one that the o line was going to be the weakest group from what was left over from Stitt and unfortunately that astute analysis by Hauck has been born out by their play.

So, if they can't run block, and they can't pass block, what scheme ARE they a good fit for?

I agree completely. Bobby didn't recruit his bulls this year, but next season he will. His bulls will win a minimum of eight games next season, and will make a deep playoff run. There's a decent chance his bulls will take us to the national championship game. It will take time.
The great thing about Bobby is his hard-nosed, "no excuses" attitude. It's all about coaching, and he acknowledges that in every interview. Once he gets his bulls next season, the sky's the limit. No excuses. Win or lose, it's all on him (and Rosey and Baer). GO GRIZ! FIGHT ON! :thumb:
I can't agree more. There is a tough-neck, rugged collar, rough-nosed attitude with this team that most posters just can't see. The haters all try to say how we might not be 4-4 and out of the playoff picture in October if the quitters didn't quit, but they don't even have the brains to realize Bobby has to deal with an unexperienced OLine and a first year starter at QB. Once he gets his bulls, we will see some big changes in this program.
Obvioulsy not the present scheme because they were all recruited by Stitt.AZGrizFan said:Dutch Lane said:I don’t know about that. It’s appears to me that the scheme has changed radically.
