Sitting here in Sun Diego and able to watch Bobby's UNLV team smoking San Diego State 45- 13 in the 4th.

Good to see him jumping up and down on the sideline - chest bumping the D lineman after their 3rd stop of SDSU on 4th down and short.

Announcers are saying that he was the all-time winningest coach ever in FCS. 47W-6L in 7 seasons. Not sure if that makes him the "winningest" but he was great to have while we did.

I think they meant percentage wise

Where are the Einsteins that were predicting like a 3 win season and BH losing his job. Should be some good excuses there.

bound!!!!

7 MWC teams are bowl eligible for 6 MWC bowl spots. They may be on the outside looking in, according to Taylor Bern, UNLV sports writer for LV Sun.

It says on the UNLV page with his bio that he is "the winningest coach in Division One FCS" ... and "The winningest coach in Big Sky Conference history (both in average victories per year [11+] and overall titles [7])." http://www.unlvrebels.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/hauck_bobby00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
[my additions]

The site defines "winningest" for the conference -- in terms of avg. wins/year, but does not define "winningest" for the FCS. It probably is a true statement, but it could be clarified.

As far as total number of wins, he isn't even the winningest coach in Big Sky Conference history.

In order for something to sell it must be deemed valuable by at least one other human being on the planet. Therefore "NO SALE" :twisted:

Congrats Bobby Hauck. Don't say I didn't tell you so at the Holiday Inn post game one year but good things will happen when you ditch Phenicie. The Griz may have won at least one of the 3 title games they played in under Hauck had he done so sooner.

1griz_fan, did you think that Tim Rosenbach was a really good o-coordinator in his year at Montana?

And RP is still a coach on the UNLV staff

the hauck story is turning out to be a good one, and i'm glad. if i'm not mistaken, his wife is the one who discovered the quarterback that saved his job this year.
