I'll admit I am biased and think that Bobby should have won this award due to how the Griz were picked to finish 6th and the amazing in-season turnaround after the NAU loss. I just think that is a more impressive coaching job than a coach who inherited a defending national championship team and didn't have to do anything other than not crash the well-oiled machine.

I'm old enough to remember when Chipper Jones lost the rookie of the year to Nomo...when asked about it, Chipper replied that he'd rather win the championship. And he did that year.

Well, I guess like the team, Hauck has some motivation moving forward specifically in terms of Jimmy Rogers. I really hope we play up to potential and continue this run and get to see who is the better coach in Frisco head to head.

I agree with the statements about Rogers just not screwing things up and all would be well. He's in the process of doing what Mick Dennehy did in '96, taking the previous years NC back to the title game.

What Hauck has done this year is WAY MORE IMPRESSIVE than what sdsu coach has done. Keep up the great work Coach Hauck, lets go to work. We have unfinished business. Go Griz!
