Bobby Bowl

Although he didn't win an NC here, I liked Bobby Hauck. I liked the winning. I liked the way his teams played, with a chip on their shoulder. Hauck teams were never outhit. Hauck teams didn't turn the ball over (if you did you were sent to the bench). I liked the swagger and cockiness they played with. I loved running the ball down opposing teams throats until they basically quit in the 4th quarter. I loved him calling moo u "state" and making FTC what it is today. Plus he's a Butte guy and I like Butte guys! Colt Anderson loves the guy.

Hammer you are too objective and make too much sense for a lot of people on this board. I am a big Bobby Hauck fan. He did the best job of recruiting that we have done IMO and the number of guys who have gone to the NFL would back that statement up. IMO we won't ever have anyone coach that will end up with a better record.

Hauck's recruiting ability is highly underestimated...I mean honestly he did work for us and I mean UNLV is starting to produce now that HIS recruits are getting to play. Prior to this year I'm sure hardly any of his recruits were even developed. Dude is a recruiting machine.

Good post. Well said.

I don't think he'll ever be a great Xs and Os guy, but he is a very good position coach and knows how to get his players to play hard and nasty. Also very good at player development. Sent a lot of kids to the NFL. If you don't think he played a part in that, ask one of them.

Nicely articulated post. I loved all the trips to Chattanooga.

Yes, UNLV really is a dominating force when they do all these things.

Losing is not fun playing or watching the game.

You are right. No one should ever play a game he thinks he might lose. No one should ever watch a game he thinks his team might lose. Losing is for losers.
