Bob Stitt... to Maryland?

I thought the WOU game thread would be a fun read for everyone - this was Pflugrad's 21st game as head coach, against a DII team that was 2 years removed from NAIA and had 12 scholarships.

It is a good thing the Griz got on a roll against the Cat's the next weekend.

Interesting how, back then, people were posting we need touchdowns, not field goals and now people are saying at least get a FG.....

Oh, I understand all of it. Middle-of-the-road is your new normal. It's not mine. I won't lower my expectations for the program. I EXPECT the Griz to compete for national championships. I like Stitt...I like his tone, I like his personality, and I actually like his aggressive style. He deserves time. I do remain neutral on the hire. I just don't know....just like you don't know.

So I guess you've been pretty miserable since 2009, because we've only gotten close to another appearance once since then.

Miserable? No. I'm pretty damn lucky and happy to be in a position to gripe occasionally about my college football team. A real first-world problem.

Content with the program since 2009? No. You?

JFC. You don't even understand what T was trying to explain to you, so why not just quit while you're ahead?

Do you think the Griz players are executing to their full potential right now? Do you think coaching has anything to do with this? Given Stitt's hyped offensive prowess did you think our offense would be playing so poorly despite the injuries? Did you think you'd see us lose to Weber at home?

What's unreasonable about these obvious questions?

You do realize these are kids going to college not professional football players right? Don't know what you do for a living but how about you go to work for 8 hours a day then after that we'll all expect you to become WORLD CLASS at whatever athletic hobby or other interests you have.

We win lots and go to the playoffs just about every year, if not every year. I don't have any complaints. If I can tailgate into November/December I really have nothing to complain about. There's 120+ teams that play football at this division, to be in the top 16-20 just about every single year since the 90s should make the fan base a little more appreciative than it does, as this kind of success is unheard of in any division of football. Even Oklahoma, Alabama, Grand Valley, Carroll, etc cannot say they've had this kind of sustained success.

Good perspective. I do appreciate all the above. Just want the bar for our program to stay high.

The guy who owns UnderArmour is the booster big foot over there. Not likely he even knows who Bob is.

As does everyone else. That doesn't mean you don't need to occasionally have a little patience when the program is in transition.

No dog in the fight - just pointing out where the money was and who will have a large role in deciding who the next HC will be.
