The Griz have beat him 2 years in a row and he's won, what, 6 games in the past 3 seasons? Didn't do much at Wyoming. I just don't see a DII coach doing much here. Not in the shape that UM is in now. We need someone aggressive and tough. I wouldn't mind seeing some DOLA come back. That disappeared in 2009... Along with all the dominance.

NLGriz you must be young because there was a day not too long ago that Montana was known for its offense. But "if" Stitt is hired, it does not mean the defense goes away. Also, just because a guy stays at a D2 gig for 15 does not mean he can't coach at a hirer level...it could mean the guy is loyal to his school...something many people are clamoring about wanting in a new coach. I also don't know how many times and in how many ways people have put his record in perspective for you...but where he has coached is a reflection of his record. The head coach not having Montana roots is a dumb argument...as long as he keeps guys that do. He has been quoted as saying he would like to use his style at a higher level. With the recognition that Montana gets, he wouldn't be around long. Without looking it up, tell me who won the DII chipper last year. Nobody cares about DII. He figured that if he sold his ideas to WV during the Orange Bowl someone would come find him. He's a wise old man and needs a stepping stone. He'll use Montana. Hauck on the other hand learned the hard way. Can't blame a guy for not trying and "moving up". Tough lesson. Been there, done that. I've ran my own construction company for many years and jumping into something bigger and better doesn't always work out. I do Not and Will Not support this guy. Way to many red flags for me. He will not be loyal to Montana. If he's hired and If he wins, he'll be gone in 5 years. This is Bobby Hauck's home. He left once and he's wanting to come back. As Montanans, we should welcome him back with open arms. He's like a neighbor. Unlike Egstrom and his wine tasting chorines. All he did was win at the DI level and there's no denying that.

Do you know how to pick people out of a crowd? Obviously not. Look around. You just said yourself that he'd be loyal and now you're basically admitting that he could move on and you're ok with it. Whatever. I've heard enough about this guy and want Absolutely nothing to do with him. He said he would like to try this style out at the higher level, so don't put that on me in your next post.
