I do love how, 13 months after his dismissal, Stitt is still so much in people's heads here that we can have a 9 page thread dedicated to him. :lol: :lol: :lol:

It's mainly because people like you and CDA keep bringing him up, if only indirectly, in so many of your posts. Only 12 months, not 13 months, by the way. Also, do you think Stitt's 3 years at UM and recruits left on the team this year, had no influence on the team and results this year?

I don't think people necessarily disagree with that, but what you are calling excuses could be actual factors on the result. We all get that results matter, but you have to evaluate each based on its individual merits.

Never having QB1 play a whole season was an excuse. Being forced to start, what, seven different QBs in 3 seasons was an excuse. Being on scholarship restrictions was an excuse. Not being able to gain a yard on 3d or 4th and 1 all year is just bad luck. With that, I'm finished with trying to find consistency in peoples' evaluation of coaches.

Hw about Stitt's taking UM from nos.12 and 8 in the nation (with wins over Cats and playoffs), to nos.30 or 35 in nation with losses to Cats and no playoffs? Is that your idea of progress?

Same record this year. No ranking. Loss to Cats. No playoffs. All with a hand picked savior and his chosen one as QB.

Good for stitt if true. Expectations will be far less of a roadblock for stitts job security in Greeley. If given time there I bet he turns their program into a team that is good for about 6-7 wins per year with the occasional outlier year where they might be good for 8 wins.

Talk to anyone close to the team and they will say there was progress.

I don’t mean to be a negator like many on this board but Im sure haucks guys saw progress on the team he presented day 1 to the end. I’m not sure people outside of haucks nut huggers agree when it comes to day 1 of Hauck taking over to today.

I think Hauck was equally responsible for the step back this year. People want to blame Stitt for the awful team that was left behind but don’t want to admit that Hauck got rid of some talent before he even started. I’m not saying Hauck didn’t have a tough task...but saying he did and Stitt had it made is absolutely laughable and biased
