Not sure why he transferred, but it looks like he transferred to CSU-LA:

Here was an interesting thread I found on the Weber basketball forum:

That's gotta suck to lose a player like Session...

I think the Griz playing in Ogden this year is going to be somewhat special.....to say the least.

Session was not a good guy, and a terrible teammate. There were guys almost relieved the season was over he was so hard to deal with. He refused to practice his FreeThrows at Rahe's request. That is why you saw Rahe yank him in the Championship game after Session started banking his Free Throws. When one player tried to talk to the coaches to let him stay when he was kicked off the coaches, said no he's gone. What did Session do to repay the teammate for going to bat for him? He stole his clothes and shoes as he left town. Even though Session played with great energy he will not be missed at all. We have such a log jam at the 1-3 spots between Lillard,Hughey,Bamforth,Porter,Davis and Bullinger That Jordan Richardson may be Redshirting, and he's looking really good.

Thanks for the update, purple. I figured that his swift departure last season must have had something to do with missed free throws. If a kid is poison to a team it just doesn't matter how good he is. If he even hit two of his misses your team would have been a much happier one post game. You would think that game would be a humbling wake-up call for a player like that.

Dan Angell of the Idaho State Journal in his "Journal-Sports" blog, printed a very interesting interview with Weber State coach Randy Rahe back on May 7th. According to the transcript, Rahe said of Franklin Session's departure from the Weber State Wildcat basketball team, "I got rid of him."

Angell's response: "Let me make sure I heard you correctly. You said Franklin is no longer with the program?

Rahe: "Right."

There's a lot more in Angell's excellent blog interview, including some pretty candid statements by Rahe. You can read the entire interview here: http://www.pocatelloshops.com/new_blogs/sports/?p=5321#more-5321

Man, you left out some of the best comments regarding Sessions. Either way, it just confirms what we have heard about him.

Reading that makes me like Rahe a lot, damnit! Weber is lucky to have him around for quite some time. Awesome to see him have the balls to essentially fire a player won't do the essentials to get better.
