This is also not considering the fact that our scheme isn’t a “sit in the pocket and go through your reads” offense. I believe Tommy is skilled enough to do that but he is so much better running this option styled offense, and it’s not even close.
The game was neither hand grenades nor horseshoes. The only stat to matter (score) was indeed close but never in doubt.
Remind me again at what point in the game you guys almost took the lead? Generally close games have a little back and forth or at least the losing team has some opportunities to take the lead. When again did that happen?

No shade your way, Everett, but they did in fact have the chance to tie or take the lead on their second to last drive. They got the ball with 9:00 left in the game down 25-28, but went 3-and-out (because Tommy couldn't hit a routine throw to Rohan Jones on 3rd down).
