I believe that photo is showing that the bison has nothing to fear, so he decided to take a nap. Kind of like how this bison doesn't care if this bird sits on him. He's perfectly relaxed.

Either that, or the grizzly snuck up on the bison while he was sleeping and the grizzly is praying that he gets a cheap shot in before the bison wakes up. :thumb:

Actually, the fans do become MUCH more quiet during a blowout. Are you telling me that in Wa-Grizzly stadium, it was just as loud last year during the OK Panhandle State game as it was during the Coastal Carolina game?

THe Panhandle game had 10,000 more people at it...

+1. I find it funny how fans of teams who play in a dome compare their noise level to that of a team who's stadium is open. Of course your stadium is going to be loud, you've got a roof trapping that noise.

A lot of Bison fans pride themselves in the fact that their stadium is so loud... but take that roof off, and the noise level drops considerably.
Montana fans can pride themselves in the fact that we can make just as much noise if not more in our stadium without the aid of a roof overhead.
This is exactly it. I don't get why you guys are so sensitive about the Fargodome being louder. It doesn't indicate in any way that the NDSU fans are better than the Montana fans. It's all about the acoustics of having a roof. Of course if you took the roof off, it would be a lot quieter, but that's a ridiculous point to try to use, because the roof is there. That would be like a team from the south coming up to play in Wa-Grizzly stadium in the winter and saying, yeah, it might be cold, but if you enclosed the stadium and installed heaters, it would be a lot warmer. That sounds pretty dumb, doesn't it.

I'm not saying the NDSU fans are better than the Montana fans. I'm saying the acoustics of having a roof, which the Fargodome has, makes it a lot easier for it to become loud. You could adjust the layout of Wa-Grizzly stadium to make it a lot quieter as well, but the layout is what it is, and that helps your stadium become loud as well. Obviously, it is impressive that it can get almost as loud at Wa-Grizzly stadium as in the Fargodome, but again, that doesn't really say a lot about your fans. It says that the acoustics of your stadium assist in holding in the noise. Obviously your fans need to make some noise for it to be loud, just like the fans in the Fargodome need to make some noise for it to be loud in the Fargodome, but it's more about the acoustics than the fans.

Football should never ever be played inside, for any reason, ever. End of story!

Interesting. Looks like a bear and not a buffalo/minotaur.

A bison fan on Bisonville is already thinking there's no chance for montana...

How are you so sure? They got beat by Coastal at home in the cold who we destroyed. They lost a mid round pick LB, a probable NFL lineman and have the same unproven coaching staff on a program that has proven they seldom win a big game and shy away from stepping up by playing FBS. We will be the toughest program they have played in many years with players that know how to win. Our staff and players are out to prove we are still NDSU and tough as nails. Our fan base will make their life miserable. We play with an edge and MT has a bunch of west coast soft players. I like our chances.

New year, dude. No star NDSU quarterback. It'll be closer than you think.

Doesn't the midwest lead America in soft bodies?

I'm so stoked for this game. This NDSU squad looks like the 2009 left overs that had an amazing season that year

Old Shep, a photographic tribute to a “Superfan”

His early 20’s were still his formative years. Although he never actually attended NDSU he became an ardent fan in the fall of 1971 when he saw a pretty girl wearing a NDSU jacket.

Shy, chunky and socially inept, Shep found that he was able to “fit in” with others when he wore his green afro and cheered for the Bison.

Always the joker, Shep used the same “I beat anorexia” Halloween Costume for 13 straight years, until he eventually outgrew it.

Ma always said he was “too busy for girls” with his job as assistant manager at the Bismark Radio Shack. Few people know the true dreams and fantasies that occupy Shep’s mind. Although he has never physically touched a female, besides his birth mother, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t long to. Their denial of his awkward advances only makes him that much more passionate about his beloved bison and is the motor that drives him to superfan status

Following his third heart attack, Shep temporarily slimmed down to enjoy the bison win another championship. Shep is pictured here with his best friend in the entire world, the foam #1 Finger.

Shep spends his off seasons in Ma’s basement, spreading his wealth of knowledge of North Dakota and North Dakota State Bison football by educating other fan boards. It stands to reason, if NDSU is a winner, he must be a one too! Besides Ma, It is really the only thing he has left since that 29 year-old punk from RS Corporate canned him and his cat Mr. Buffy got out of the house and ran away.

Grrrrizzzzzbies!

Hey, crows don't take Fridays off. Get back to guarding the damn turnips. At least then you'd be doing something worthwhile.
