Bison vs Cats

😂Well, I live about 2hrs north of the US/Mexico border. I think I’d have to drive due northeast or a really long way east on the 10 to make it more likely.

CDA is to CDA like AZGrizFan is to AZ.

... and as CFallsGriz is to CFalls 👍🏻

I’ve done a lot of thinking, consulted many texts, talked to at least three oracles, and I can see clearly now.

I think I’m rooting for sloppiest football game ever played where both teams look like complete trash and both coaching staffs quit at halftime. Maybe a bench clearing brawl but where the players fight their own teams. And then a sh*tstorm. A literal cloud of sh*t will roll in and open up directly over RHS and rain the sh*t of 10,000 alcoholics who have been eating nothing but Taco Bell and Denny’s Grand Slams all week on the crowd. The crowd leaves because everyone is covered in the aforementioned sh*t, but some lunatic has already started a fire in the tailgate area. Uh-oh! What’s the closest source of water? That’s right, the Sh*t Pond. Helicopters come in with buckets and dump MSU Shi*twater all over the exiting crowd. A classic double sh*t shower for the ages.

Back inside RHS, the Bizon win it 6-0 on a last second scoop and score when MSU was just trying to kneel it and go to OT.

All donut clutching fatties with vodka infused gravy and the sh*t covered drunken fans drooling in their blue cups aside…

I think MSU has been exposed. Their offense is one dimensional and teams built to stop the run can keep the score close. Even this subpar NDSU team has too much offense. Cats are gonna fold up their tent on this one. 24-14 Fatties.

Agreed. Their system works great against the EWoos and Cal Polys of the world; not so much against defenses with a pulse.

If you watched the MSU/Idaho game and Tommy throwing the ball, he was very good that game in the 2nd half. You can only go with the plays the OC gives you.

Their OC must have been drinking behind the NEZ vs Montana. When you are down three scores in the second half - you gotta sling the ball. Other than the first series after halftime (in which Tommy DID look good) they didn’t even try to throw.

Turnover Tommy can't throw the ball, he's not accurate and definitely not consistent. He's a lesser Troy Anderson.

I am paraphrasing here, because I'm too lazy to go back to watch the replay, but when our Rivals muffed the punt on the 5 yard line and the refs ruled it Griz ball--reversed during the break for some unexplained reason--the TV commentary went like this:
  • Marty Mornhinweg: "Montana State has folded its tent; this game is over."
Ty Gregorak: "Folded its tent? I don't know when they ever set up their tent."

Then Marty started talking about cowbell. "He the best back they got he's their cowbell"

Marty has to voice this character

P.S. it's David Koechner

Must say, I'm a bit surprised at the negative attitude of Bison fans regarding their visit to the Litter Box this weekend: http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?43247-2023-Round-2-Montana-State. I have been concerned about how well NDSU has been playing of late. After all, they have tons of experience in the playoffs and are all-time champions of FCs. So, I do not take them lightly, even though they have had a sub-par year (for them) up until now.

Looks like both sides aren’t exactly confident. It sounds like Housewright is planning his post season bender already. Wouldn’t feel confident as a cats fan.

Not surprised at all. Living in Fargo I have noticed a real big fallout of support in last 3 years or so, not sure the fan base is sold on Entz and the really don't like their OC.
Meh thinks the Cats by 2 TD's as the Bison cannot stop the run, as evident with their 3 losses all to running teams (SD,ND and SDSU).

Nuanez mentioned in one or another piece of media, paraphrasing, that he had heard from a Beezon fan that the most enjoyable element of being a fan was following their ascent. One the hill has been clumb, (vague Mick Holien reference) believe it or not, winning gets redundant. People lose interest. Fandom drops off.

I think had Montana won seven or more FCS titles, instead of the two with six years spread apart, fan perspective might have been different. Ok, insert move up thread information here.

I am not likely the average bored fan, but I'm old. I tend to relish every victory, until Tuesday, when it's time to focus on the next Saturday.

I am not overlooking Delaware and I'm sure the team isn't either...but assuming the Griz take care of business this weekend, I am also hoping that we get the chance to welcome Furman into WA-Griz. Not only would it be lovely to see Offensive Coordinator Roper back on the sidelines (an Oregon shirt for your pro day, Justin? Really?), the Furman wide recievers coach also has some playoff experience with Montana. Drew Dudzik was the back-up QB for the JMU game in 2008 and came in when Landers went out.

Where else are you going to find historically relevant and absolutely accurate information like this. Clearly not in my posts because I’m early onset stupid. Please keep an eye out for MsMaroon if you really want to be in the know.

Awe, BgBigDog, 😌 you are too kind.

Since I'll be killing this thread any way; before it dies, I'm excited to share I got my Battle of the Brawl shirt in the mail today.

Its gonna be a collectors item. 😁

I consider bison fans to be the greater of the two evils, with the more grating fan base. I’m hoping the cats wreck them on Saturday, the NDSU meltdown will be entertaining as hell.

If that happens, I'm sure we will see a resurgence of cat fans over here again. I'd be fine with a double forfeit.
