So which of those trophies were you directly involved with. It would be understandable if you played for NDSU when they won some of those.

Otherwise, it is like me taking full credit for the Griz winning the NC in 1995 and Dave Dickenson getting the Walter Payton award.

Most of the time we are just fans..... nothing more.

We can all take pride in our teams accomplishments....
Only one thing you lack...... humility.

It was a big game and huge win for the Griz. One of the all time biggest wins in the stadium. The ESPN coverage made it bigger. Due to the tv coverage, it was a bigger win for UM, nationally, than a win at NDSU would have been in the playoffs. A win in the playoffs would have been bigger for Griz Nation, tho.

Why do some people want to tear down such good things?

It was everything you say it was, but then we lost the next two games. To make it even more disheartening Stitt was running around to all the bars and on national radio shows basking in the glow. So all eyes were on Stitt and us, and we lost at home to Cal Poly and then on the road to Liberty. We were 4-4 after eight games. I think we all thought we’d be 7-1 or better at that point. Maybe 10-1 on the year. It was a great day/week though.

We didn’t play all that bad defensively in the 6-37 loss. Only allowed 316 yards, but gave up two interception returns for touchdowns and a KO return for touchdown.

Yup. Nice summary.

I think it is sad...

Griz were once a program that cared about contending for national championship runner ups not some preseason exhibition game.

It is sad, but it is what it is. Pretty much all there is to the Griz anymore is that win so many seasons ago.

Have you ever attended a Griz game in Missoula? If so, when was the last one?

Attended every home game for 25+ years, season ticket holder for 20+. Gave them up after Stitt year 2, have not made a game in last 2 seasons.

That was an impressive run. I had you pegged for only an occasional attendee.

You guys got it all figured out. You keep telling yourself that.. Whatever works for ya. Enjoy watching the playoffs from your living rooms while we enjoy them at the Fargodome.

Why are you even here? :?

LOL, exactly my thought. And NDSU was crushed by Gonzaga, 102 - 60. So there!
Different shaped ball..... but who cares.
He must be still be coming up with his answer.

LMFAO....#1 team in the country

Griz have a good b-ball team....but Gonzaga would beat them by 40 easily..

I can't speak for the Bison fan you quoted, but I lack some other things. Like the ability to Velcro my own shoes, the ability to pass up a 3rd helping of cheesecake, or refrain from saying "cows" when I drive by a herd of cows.

That has nothing to do with my post.

Hey Bison fans, can you all demand from your AD to schedule a home & home game against us again? If it wasn't for a "14-second asterisk (*)" win by the Cats, we would be playing you tomorrow.

Looks like Rade Butcher is about to break that display in a brawl. Where do you keep the real ones? I know it can't be there.

Where do you guys keep all the national championship game runner up plaques?

In an actual Champions Center that doesn't resemble a trophy case at "Cass County Unified K-12 and Adult Education for Grownups Who Can't Read No Good".

We encrypt them and store them on the cloud. Keeps them away from the Russians.

Did you really type that without laughing? Gonzaga would beat any Big Sky team by 40, and that's with Tillie on the bench.

Strong disagree. UNDSU is not a good basketball team. UM would keep it within 25-30, if not better.
Finally, Tillie's a bit soft.
