Which is scary....can’t imagine what it would have been like in the playoffs with a healthy Wentz.

Was that ass kicking the worst loss in Griz playoff history ?

Nope, lost 52-9 at Western Illinois in 1998

Yikes. Somehow I think they would trade all of their national titles for that particular distinction. They really are that obsessed.

So I'm confused. Are WE playing NDSU on Saturday? There sure seem to be a bunch of Bisoniacs over here looking for some belly buckin'.

You guys got it all figured out. You keep telling yourself that.. Whatever works for ya. Enjoy watching the playoffs from your living rooms while we enjoy them at the Fargodome.

No one enjoys a game at the Fargodome, one simply survives the experience. It looks like quonset, smells like a feed lot, and can seat 19,700 average size people or 4,600 Bison fans. On the plus side because it's an indoor stadium it has the best views in North Dakota. Then again, regardless of the result at the end of the game you are still in Fargo.
I laughed out loud. Strong work, Sask.
Exiting the Fargo Shed after a game probably feels like coming out of a strip club in the daylight and questioning everything.
I didn't know if I should laugh because it was funny or cry because it was true. Good stuff Sask, you definitely struck a nerve.

Wentz wasnt 100% in that game he had a bad wheel. You won yes but certainly not against a 100% healthy Wentz. The playoff game would have been just as bad a beating or worse with a healthy Wentz in that second game.

I always that this was a mainly BS excuse. And weak. Players including qb's play hurt all the time.

Wentz was 100% fine. He actually got hurt during the game and it was his wrist (not his leg). Happened late third quarter. Bison Backer is way off.

He did hurt his ankle with about a minute left in the 3rd quarter. Now Backer wants to use it as an excuse for the entire game?

So a non-conference game played in August is now what we reminisce about? This is the nostalgia of this program? "Championships aren't won in August." Coach Klieman after the 2015 game. Speaks for itself. Who cares if we beat them one time during a game that doesn't matter. They have six championships. We are just another program and have been for a while, nothing more.

A lot of people must have cared since it surpassed the Griz/App game as the highest rated FCS game to be televised on ESPN. I know I cared about that game. I don't care when it was played, it was still a huge game. I don't care that Stitt was the coach and that he ultimately didn't deliver. He and his team did that day and it was a huge win. And Carson Wentz must have cared. He's talked about that game, many, many, many times since.

It was a big game and huge win for the Griz. One of the all time biggest wins in the stadium. The ESPN coverage made it bigger. Due to the tv coverage, it was a bigger win for UM, nationally, than a win at NDSU would have been in the playoffs. A win in the playoffs would have been bigger for Griz Nation, tho.

Why do some people want to tear down such good things?

To be fair to all of the 2011BisonAlumni, football began in 2011 for them. And now, they are all here. In 1998, they were trading rocks for sticks.

This website is just too comical to leave....

I think it is sad...

Griz were once a program that cared about contending for national championship runner ups not some preseason exhibition game.

It is sad, but it is what it is. Pretty much all there is to the Griz anymore is that win so many seasons ago.

How many FCS games of NDSU have been on tv before bigger tv audiences? Don't know. Just curious.

Have you ever attended a Griz game in Missoula? If so, when was the last one?

Attended every home game for 25+ years, season ticket holder for 20+. Gave them up after Stitt year 2, have not made a game in last 2 seasons.

And there you have it - the urban dictionary definition of a fair-weather fan.

This is the definition from Urban Dictionary

A fan of a sports team who only shows support when the team is doing well. During hard times they usually bandwagon other teams. They basically have no real loyalty to the team, but still manage to get better seats than you at the game. Strangely they mysteriously vanish at the first sign of trouble.

Home sweet home.

Assume much? I don't see any mention of why I gave them up...and hint, it had nothing to do with Stitt, he just happened to be the head coach at the time. And even though I have not been able to attend in person, I have not missed watching the games. I plan on attending more games, but unlike some of you, at this time, my life in the fall doesn't currently revolve around attending Griz home games in person. But not surprised, behapp doesn't come across as the brightest dude.

LOL, exactly my thought. And NDSU was crushed by Gonzaga, 102 - 60. So there!
Different shaped ball..... but who cares.
