Billy Reader

Did I miss something? I thought Billy Reader was the heir apparent to Brian Kvale. Yet, Reader didn't even show up in the box score on the CSU game. Is he sick, hurt, ????

He played, but didn't get a lot of time. He had a nice jumphook on the block early in the first half, and then was a total non-factor the rest of the game.

Reader played and accumulated the stats (minutes & fouls) to justify appearing in the official box. If you look at the play-by-play ledger in the box score at gogriz.com, you can see where Reader collected three fouls in one minute between the 15:50 and the 14:50 point of the second half (he also subbed in for Hutch for a short stretch in the first half).

Yeah it's a little bizarre that he's not even in the box score, not sure what the deal is. Not sure how many minutes he played actually, but I thought it was more than Henderson or Gregory.

An official scorer HAS to have all player minutes add up to the 200-minute total for a full game (5 players times 40 minutes). That means they lost track of Reader and assigned his minutes to someone else. Odd, because Reader shows up in the play-by-play chronology.
