Billy Reader needs to....

.....................Start when Selvig returns. Until then do what ever, and I think that is what Tinkle is doing.

I like this starting lineup:
Cherry
Jamar
Steward
Reader
Selvig

This starting lineup gives the team good leadership, scoring, defense, length, and good mismatches. Most importantly, it will allow Derek Selvig get out from underneath the hoop and create mismatches on the perimeter. Let Billy Reader go crazy and bang under the hoop.......That dude likes to be physical, and he's only a freshman! :thumb: :clap:

I like Ward when doesn't post up (ugly sh!t). Ward is a great asset when he uses his mid-range game, which I think is the best on the team, and that is best utilized from the bench.

Hutchison is not ready.......like his size, but he just is not the answer at this moment. Kinda sluggish.....I cant get a feel for Hutch yet.....Now just isn't the time.

Who knows......his game is hard to peg. He sure hasn't shown much thus far, and I know they have only played 2 regular season games. Reader, on the other hand, has shown quite a bit.

Agreed.

Hutch clearly hasn't been very productive, and Selvig and Ward's games overlap a bit (both like to play outside a little bit more, not great down by the basket)... I think Reader/Selvig frontline would be solid.

That was my prediction for the starting line-up before the season.

I like it for the same reason jon said. Ward is a stud but him and Selvig play the same type of game. I did like some of the small line-ups we were playing the first couple games, but I don't think it would work for as much as we had to play it. Rebounding was an issue and I think it can be much better this way.
