EWU WILL be the biggest game of the year, but this week is indeed the biggest game, because the Griz can make a lot of headway towards a national seed and at least stay in the Big Sky title hunt, though I doubt anyone will catch UND at this point, with a win in Flagstaff. A loss means that the ONLY hope the Griz have for a national seed is to beat EWU, and go one and win out, and a loss to NAU also means, with UND's schedule, any chance of a conference title is GONE. So yes, Buss is one hundred percent right. But I also like the fact that he embraced the, "it's the next one" cliche.
CV, I totally get what you mean when you say the EWU game. You want the Griz to prove something to you, as a fan of theirs. TYou want them to prove they can beat a team you consider a good team. But, and you are a football guy, so you know they can't afford to look at it like that. I can assure you, Montana considered Sac. State a worthy opponent, and prepped for them as hard as they have anyone else, or as hard as they will going forward. They, as players, in the middle of their season, can't bother with crap like SOS or who considers who good or not good. They treat every single opponent the same, they consider them all good and don't worry about what outsiders think of them. They will treat their preperations for Northern Arizona the same way, that they're going up against a rival, a good football team, and on the road to boot. They can't worry about proving something against EWU, because EWU looks to fans like an opponent that will tell them something about what type of team the Griz really are. But I know, since you're a football guy, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, and I apologize for rambling.
