Big South + OVC = Safer Auto-bid?

This seemed like it was bound to happen, the way conference realignment has gone recently. The best news is that it will reduce the total number of FCS playoff auto-bids by one.

I thought it would've more likely been a merger between the OVC and Southland. That's another conference that's hanging by a thread.

Totally agree. One more defection from the Southland and they lose their auto-bid. Could be they pick up some that decide the Big South – OVC combination it too big and ungainly.
