So ya, he says The Big Sky (is the premiere conference this season) At least it didn't take 17 pages to admit that.

If the Big Sky is the premiere conference, then I’d hope one of their premiere teams ends up in Frisco.
Are you the same idiot arguing this on AGS, or is your whole fanbase this dumb?

What is so dumb about saying that?

The “dominant” conference of the year, according to you guys, just had their conference co-champs Sac State be given a 1 % chance to win the national championship this year by ESPNU.

Don’t make Butters answer that. But, I’ll bet you he does...

Edit: Whoops! Too late. He did. I like to read his posts in that dumbfuck accent. You know the one.

You know what they say, if you want to commit a crime and get away with it do it in North Dakota.....everybody has the same DNA. Lol

It’s honestly almost hard to read. How a kid can’t understand the difference between the best team undeniably (which he’s a fan of) and the best conference this season, is honestly hard to fathom.

Apparently the AFC East is always the best conference in the NFL because the Pats are favorites to win the Super Bowl damn near every year....

I’m with this guy....the most dominant division in the nfl, is the afc east. Because the patriots have the highest odds of getting to the super bowl.

It just makes sense that the jets and dolphins and bills are also strong, strong teams.

Damnit! Should’ve read your post first...that was classless on my part...

Great minds!

There are many other examples too, that is just an obvious one!

Lol...not even close to the same. 4 team division.

And the best division in the NFL is the NFC West and they certainly have a team that has a greater than 1% chance of winning a Super Bowl.

Can’t ever recall an instance in college basketball or college football where you looked at a conference and called it dominant but couldn’t find one team remotely favored to make an appearance in the national championship game let alone win it.

EWU made the championship game last year. Nothing has happened yet this year, so using it as an argument is kind of silly don't you think.

Agreed! That’s why Gonzaga’s conference has been the best college basketball conference for the previous two years...

I’m not saying a team outside a “dominant” conference can’t make the championship game.......but usually a “dominant” conference has A SINGLE TEAM that has a good chance.

We’ll see how it plays out.

You've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you don't understand the concept of dominant TEAM vs dominant CONFERENCE. You should just put down the shovel, dude. Every time you post, you just dig the hole deeper and deeper....

Last year, most pundits had either Weber or EWU in the championship game. It wasn’t unexpected.

All I’m saying is you can’t use the word “dominant”, yet not have a single team with a greater than 1% chance of making the championship game nor a single team with double digit wins entering into the playoffs.

I do....dominant conferences usually have the best sagarin rating (the Big Sky does not), wins head to head games in total for conference matchup series (the Big Sky did not this year in the MVFC series), had one team expected to go to the championship game (the Big Sky does not) and offers more teams with winning records than losing records (the Big Sky had 8 teams with losing records compared to 5 with winning records).

Conveniently leave out playoff seeds. Wonder why?

How did MFVC do against our playoff teams?

Yes...Yes you can.

A dominant team is a singular entity. A dominant conference is a multitude of teams.

How many teams are in the MV? Serious question...8?

However many, I would put the top 8? big sky teams agains the 8? valley teams all day long...you'd win #1, and perhaps an upset along the way.

Note that I haven't argued about the conferences; I've said only that the top of the Big Sky got 4 of the top 5 seeds of the two conferences, the Big Sky got 4 seeds to the the MV's 2, and the Big Sky had 4 seeds about the MV's second seeded team. So, that is clear indication that the playoff committee consider the top of the Big Sky to be better than the MV.

If you can't admit that, then I don't know what to tell you, other than you must be a football idiot.

The Sagarin measures the whole conference. The bottom of the Big Sky is weak. The seeded Big Sky team beat the MV seeded team, and the top of the Big Sky won all of their MV games. The Big Sky had 4 teams with 9-3 records. NDSU was undefeated but the next MV teams were only 8-4.

Again, I'm happy to stipulate that the bottom half of the Big Sky's 13 teams is not as good as the bottom half of the MV's 10 teams. If you're proud of that, and hanging your hat on that, have at it.

The Griz played the top 7 teams in the conference and a team tied for 8th. The MV had 2 conference teams rated by Sagarin lower than any conference team UM played.

No I did answer the question. The MVFC had a clear cut seeded team entering the last week of the season and lost their starting QB and didn’t have a backup plan. If that doesn’t happen, there are three seeded MVFC teams and 3 seeded Big Sky teams.
