Big Sky TV Schedule

ROOT has regions, and the Pittsburg(h) region is one of their three. The other two are Rocky Mountain and the Northwest.

Understood, but am wondering if Pittsburgh will carry Big Sky or originate more relevant local stuff?
Or do they just carry the NW/RM programming?

They carry the Pirates, the Dan Patrick Show and paid programming. I'm hoping they carry Big Sky games.....station is pretty boring. I'm about 80 miles from Pittsburgh but rarely watch it.

I actually disagree with your above statement. Last year you could watch the Grizzlies ANYWHERE in the country as long as you had a decent internet connection, and probably pretty much everywhere in the world. Because of Big Sky TV, you could do so from the comfort of your home, motel (me), or even outside by the pool. Now you cant....BSTV/America One wont carry those games anymore so someone would have to maybe go to a bar, and then hope they will put it on. Personally I avoid bars, plus they are way to noisy when trying to listen to a game. I will probably see less than half of the games this year, unless one of the "other" web sites streams the game....which they probably shouldn't be doing...legally.

The App State game will be carried on ESPN3 and available on demand for purchase. Also, according to a news release on the ROOT website, they are looking into online streaming for all games carried on ROOT to keep alumni and fans close to their team and that they would release more information as the football season got closer. So nothing in place yet, but there is no official determination they won't stream online. I'd suggest emailing ROOT if you do want to see the games streamed, it wouldn't hurt.

Did you send an email? If so do you mind posting the email address?

I would pay to see a streamed Root broadcast. I also don't mind the idea of watching BSC games in a bar though.

What the hell did you guys do to grizpsych? that guy was the best thing that ever happened to Griz fans. I was just getting on here to say "don't worry about the games that bigsky tv doesn't cover, 'cause we got grizpsych." Now, we don't have shit now do we?

On a side note, I emailed ROOT awhile ago and they said they had no plans for online streaming, so if they are saying something else now, that's a step in the right direction.

I sent an email to ROOT about this 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back yet. They might be swamped at the moment seeing as we're 3 weeks out from the start of the season.

Truth. Grizpsych is invaluable to far-flung Griz fans. He can't leave. He just can't.
