Just a note: unfortunately the bsc tournament isn’t going to be held at Taco Bell Arena on BSU’s campus. It will be held at Century Link Arena where the Boise minor league hockey team plays. Still a major upgrade, however.
Oops!

My bad. Don't think we've ever been there, and have not heard much about it. Given the situation (Big Sky BBall), it's probably a better choice -- Wiki lists its capacity as about 5,700, whereas the Taco Bell goes something over 12,000. I know they fill the Taco for concerts, but not sure about BBall. A Big Sky "crowd" would be lost in a 12,000-seat facility.

Century Link is a pretty sweet little venue. It will serve the BSC very well. I was planning on going to Reno before the announcement of Boise. I'd rather wait a year and drive 15 minutes ;) I've already told my wife I am taking the week off next year and getting a full session pass, probably taking kids out of school as well!

i went to reno last yr. weber might have had the biggest crowd but there was like 200 people in the entire arena for the title game. if there were more than 200 then maybe 300.

reno last march was fun even though we lost the title game to und. my group spent most of the time in the casinos and didnt even attend all the games. the atmosphere was so terrible for all games, it ruined the tourney for me. it really needs to be at the host school aka ogden and missoula trading off.

i would rather not go back but my group has peer pressured me to going back to the final reno tourney.

so my recommendation for reno this yr would be to go if you would like to play craps with griz players and DeCuire which is very likely. we did. dont go for the electric atmosphere.

I will be attending again this year can't wait to see this years team live. I agree with everyone about atmosphere and crowd size, however I have a blast at games and between games downtown.
Hope to see a few of you at games or around the bars.

I agree with you Mavman. I went last year and had a good time. We flew in on Thursday morning and sat next to MO dad and sister for the game. Because of the light crowd you can sit pretty much anywhere you want. Even though the Griz lost my son and I decided to become basketball junkies for the weekend. We went to all the sessions and had a good time. I'm trying to work out my schedule to make it back this year.

This is the best time of year for a hoops junkie.
My schedule next few weeks will be filled with highschool and college hoops :thumb:
This weekend home games.
next week road games in elko/ springcreek (end of season for my sons JV team)
following week off to Northern regionals to call the B/G varsity games
after that hopefully one or both make it to State In Reno!
Take a week or so off then head to Reno for BSC tourney!
