Big Sky Tourney - Cancelled

That really really really sucks especially for teams like the Griz and northern Colorado who had a legitimate chance of going to the big dance

Actually there is only 1 conference playing, and I doubt they continue.

Look at who's dying from this virus: the elderly with compromised immune systems. Those under 60 have a 98% recovery rate.

It's not dangerous to the vast majority of the population. Halting public gatherings isn't going to have any impact on the spread of this either. The Chinese took far more draconian measures regarding quarantine and the effects, as much as they can be extrapolated from the information that was massaged by the communists, were negligible.

Canceling these events and others worldwide isn't erring on the side of caution, it's making a huge mountain of negative consequences out of a molehill.

Yes, but who serves the elderly meals, takes care of them, works in grocery stores, etc .

Look what Taiwan did. They shut it down and have very few cases.
 
Sucks. I guess the seniors have already played their last college game, I feel bad for them. Sayeed had an excellent career, I wish he had gotten a chance to make one more run.

As much as it sucks having sports temporarily postponed, in this case our team ending the season, I wouldn't go to any games right now, so I wouldn't expect the decision makers to put the athletes in any arena where people are packed like sardines.

Watching Georgetown / St. John's now, maybe the only game left this year in CBB.

Yep, FS1 says Creighton vs. Georgetown or St. John's in the description, and "NEW", and "LIVE"... Well, considering they couldn't narrow it down to say who WOULD be playing, I'm not surprised they are showing yesterday's game.
 
Acc, Big Ten, Big Twelve, SEC, PAC Twelve,
American, Atlantic 10, conference USA, MAC, American east, BIG SKY and WAC, have all canceled their tournaments.

The big dance will probably get canceled, too.

You are right, the Democrats have shut down all of Italy & China, made up the disease in most other developed countries & canceled all major sports in the US. JFC it must hurt to be that stupid.
 
More and more likely that the tourney is cancelled with Duke and Kansas having suspended all athletics.
