Big Sky Tonight (Nov 12)

Rather than scatter posts around, I figured we could go here.

Right now, the big thing is the thumping that UC-Davis is putting on #15 Idaho (31-7 at the half). Unless the Spuds turn it around in the second half (which they certainly could), this could really muddy the water for at-large bids from the Big Sky. Both teams would end up at 6-4 ... and – as has been discussed at lot here – 4 losses puts you very much on the bubble for a bid. Idaho would take a major hit in the polls (i.e., bid prospects). UCD was only a couple spots out of the top-25 in the last poll, and would probably move in. But how would all those top-25 Big Sky ranked teams translate into bids (and seeds)?

The kitties are doing the expected to CP, so that probably doesn't offer much to talk about.

Idaho is staging a comeback ... scoring twice in the 3rd quarter, while holding UCD scoreless (so far).

The kitties look like they want to pile up more points than the Griz at halftime ... and it looks like they'll do it. Poor Cal Poly.

Sure would be nice if the Griz jumped up to #10, but its looking more like 13.

What are your thots Ida?

Yep ... I'd say that #13 looks about right. Except for what UCD did to Idaho, there were no big beat-downs among the next five or so spots ahead of the Griz.

Wonder how far down in the depth chart they are? Even so, the offense is still moving the ball (just scored again).

Makes absolute sense ... just like it did for the Griz

I don't think you can take a whole lot away from either team's game against CPSLO. That is a completely defeated, overmatched team. If you want to crow about MSU's defense giving up points, their offense has made them look even worse than ours did.

The REAL smack here is how the hell did MSU nearly lose to this EWU team?

Msu would have lost to EW had it not been for that horrific call by the refs. That's what's even worse.

Yep, keeping their first team players out the whole second half. Getting ready for next week. 65 points and climbing !

Remind me again how many points CP scored against the Griz 2nd and 3rd teamers? 8-)
