oh good lord.... the teams you have played are 1-4.. the Griz 1st 3 opponents are 1-7.... please keep the "quality of competition" to yourself until you actually meet a team with a winning record....

at least the cats have played a 3 time FBS National Champ which tends to mute the all impressive top ten list only 3 weeks into the season....

You do realize that the only D1 win for the teams the Cats have played was SMU's win against the Cats right?

Monmouth - 0-3.
SMU - 1-1 (with their only win being against the cats).

Might be a little early in the season to be smack talking about quality of competition. Plus... UND may very well pick up their 2nd D1 in a couple weeks against the cats

SMU then received the "death penalty" from the NCAA after their glory days.

Having a fan of a cheating team on NCAA probation preach to me about cheating and NCAA probation is priceless!!! Hypocrites are funny!!

App State has 3 outright national titles and 18 conference titles. Since we are going to dig into the past as you opened the door, UND also has a national title

Apparently you lack the intelligence to differentiate the difference between FCS NC's and FBS NC's... do you want me to explain??

again, you guys are funny, funny people.... stupid, but funny nonetheless....

You talk a lot of smack, just not about how good your team is.......

What SMACK have i "talked"? I simply stated the record of the 1st 3 Griz opponents, reminded you trolls that MSU lost to a team who has 3 FBS NC's under their belt, and reminded you not to make light of SMU's NCAA probation considering the position that the Griz have found themselves in.....

Not smack at all...... geezzzz you guys are sensitive!!

I will give you a second chance. Would you like to make predictions about the Cats and where they are going to end the season? - or are you going to sit there picking your ass and trying to figure out which how to avoid answering the question. I still have not heard from you about how great your team is. Just a bunch of blather about penalties from the NCAA and how weak the Griz opponents are. I am waiting......

Even if any one of the so-called three National Championships SMU considers official were legitimate in the eyes of the NCAA, how does a title in 1935, 1981, or 1982 mean anything to who plays SMU today??? And why does the NCAA consider Minnesota, Clemson, and Penn St. the official FBS National Champs during those respective years...

At least the Griz played and beat a well respected ranked FCS (soon to be FBS) team to open the season instead of two cupcake games with a weak FBS team in between. At least the Griz did not P#$$ out of a game with the two-time defending FCS National Champions. :thumb: That right there is enough to mute anything you little kittens have to say on Egriz or anywhere else for that matter.

Finally, I am pretty sure this is a site to discuss Montana Grizzly Football, which means us Griz fans can talk about anything we want without some little PU$$!#$ like yours permission. But since you asked nicely go #### yourself and enjoy watching the Cats season fall apart in three, two, one...

Talk about stupid...

Apparently you lack the intelligence to differentiate the difference between the NCAA recognizing an official FBS National Championship and a team or Wikipedia crowning one in Division 1-A.

Here is a link of the official NCAA FBS National Champions. http://www.ncaa.com/history/football/fbs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I guess SMU and the Bobcats both have three National Championships after all, the difference is SMU has three in the FBS while the Bobcats have three in the FCS.

Something tells me that was like the game of the century that the Cats coulda, woulda, shoulda, won.

You're so right; SMU has been a powerhouse in recent years and in the FBS NC hunt every year. Their 70-152 record against mediocre schedules over the last 20 years speaks volumes. NDSU would have their lunch which made this such a good deal for you.

The Cats claim, what, seven NCs? They only have one DII NC. I think it was during the Nixon administration. Their claimed 1936 (or whatever) NC was NAIA, and their claimed 1984 NC very likely never happened. I watched our 1995 NC on TV tonight, and they can't even show a shred of proof for their claimed 1984 NC. Why would it be so hard to prove if it indeed happened?

Hold up Einstein...look up the definition of sarcasm. Good one on calling me Junior, wow that was way to much for me to take. I am well aware the Cats have only one FCS National Championship despite some little kittens (never said you) trying to claim all 3 as FCS titles.

Kind of like how you try to claim 3 for SMU when in fact theirs are not considered legitimate titles in the eyes of the NCAA. Even if they were, SMU won 6 games last season against their peers and beat one FCS team while losing to 6 of their peers. That makes them a National Championship contender right, considering their 3 so-called FBS NC's that no one besides you and SMU consider real.

SMU's 1-11 record's in 2008 and 2007 along with their outstanding 0-12 record in 2003 have more relevance to their quality than any make believe NC's from 1982, 1981, and 1935. Butt they played in some crappy bowl games for the past 4 years with an overall record of 30-23 for a superior winning percentage of 57%. Take out their 3 wins over FCS teams during that span and they are an amazing 27-23. I know they were just about to crack the top 25 during those amazing runs.

Go back the past 10 years and they won 46 games while losing 77. Minus 5 FCS wins and they were 41-77. That right there shows how much quality the Bobcats FBS opponent has. They could have won 50 real FBS National Championships in the past 60 years and still shows how bad a team they have been in recent years. Try to spin it any way you want but the fact of the matter is that a handful of Big Sky teams would have beaten SMU instead of choking against them.

At least MSU did not have to suffer an embarrassing loss against the Bison though. You should probably thank Ash for that next time you are kissing his @$$ for scheduling weak non-conference opponents. I'll bet you all of my snackpacks for my upcoming sixth grade year  that the Cats quality opponents catches up with them again (and again +++) come November. That is if they are fortunate enough to make it that far.

I completely overestimated how pathetic it must be for little kittens to spend so much time making an @$$ out of themselves on a Griz fan site!!

BWAHAHA! Seriously? This may be the dumbest thing ever posted on eGriz, and thats saying something. The last time SMU won a Natty was in 1982. BEFORE they got the death penalty FOR TWENTY YEARS. Wow...talk about stretching. Please take your time and find a relevant argument BEFORE you post again.

In 1956, the Bobcats, led by senior captain and two-way (center and middle linebacker) starter Sonny Holland, won a share of the NAIA title at the Aluminum Bowl in Little Rock, Arkansas, playing to a scoreless tie with the Pumas of St. Joseph's College from Rensselaer, Indiana.

Montana State won the 1976 NCAA Division II championship at the Pioneer Bowl in Wichita Falls, Texas, beating the Akron Zips 24-13 with head coach Sonny Holland at the helm.

Eight years later, the Bobcats defeated Louisiana Tech 19-6 in the 1984 Division I-AA title game in Charleston, South Carolina.

There are your three national championships, one of which was a scoreless tie

And NONE of which were in the FCS (a classification which came into existence in 2006). So the question is whether there was one thing he got right in his post...?
