Some interesting things though 4 games:

- Griz lead the Big Sky in total offense at 450 yards per game
- Griz lead Big Sky in PATs (20-20)
- Griz lead with first downs (22 per game)
- Griz lead Big a Sky in red zone offense (16-16)

- Griz 2nd in Big Sky in rush defense, only giving up 124 yards per game
- Griz are 2nd in Big Sky in scoring offense averaging 37 points per game
- Griz tied for 2nd in interceptions with 6
- Griz are 2nd with sacks (14)
- Griz defense is 2nd in red zone defense (73.7%)

- Griz 4th in passing offense (314 yards per game)
- Griz 4th in pass efficiency (143.9)

Some individual:

- Banks 2nd in big Sky in tackles (41)
- Buss is 6th with 39
- Schye 2nd in sacks (4)
- Schye 1st in tackles for loss (1.88 per game)
- Buss is 4th in tackles for loss (1.62)
- McKinley leads big Sky in passes defender with 7
- Schye leads league in fumbles forced (2)
- Schye is 2nd with fumbles recovered (2)

Looks like we have all kinds of offensive stats and production and are putting up big numbers in a big numbers league. However, outside a few individual defensive performances, as a unit we at middle or bottom on all key defensive stats.

Well, when you give up 63 and 48, gonna be tough to be ranked high in any defensive category. Given EWU's 56 and 40 and 42, I'm gonna bet they're not ranked real high defensively either.

Stats are pretty skewed this early in the season when playing FBS teams or D2 teams. Valpo and Savannah State were pretty bad OOC opponents so it's pretty hard to gauge anything from those games. They are a combined 1-6, with Valpo beating some school named TIU?

Valpo just lost to Drake 13-38, and Drake lost to USD 7-77 and SDSU 10-51. Savannah State is 0-3 but at least they had a close loss against Florida A&M this Saturday.

Most Big Sky teams played up and played down.

What I'm getting at is stats are more or less meaningless in general but especially only 1 game into the conference slate.
