Big Sky Referee/Commisioner

So, I thought that Tully's hit was a legitimate hit. The guy had the ball, he did not launch himself, and he did not lead with the head. I thought the flag was BS. He should actually be commended for actually finally hitting someone. Does anyone have the video of it? I have not seen a replay. I caught it live, so I was wondering if it was a legitimate hit. On a side note, I fully expect him to be suspended for the next game if the idiots at the big sky commisioners office continue with their blind backing of the officials.

You seen it right. It was a great hit, and the call was Bullshit. The other flag was bullshit too, on that drive.

I saw it live, and don't have it on DVR unfortunately, but live it sure looked like a good hit.

I was really happy to finally see one of our safeties hit someone hard. Then the flag came.... fuck...

Hope Tully doesn't end up suspended for a game over a bullshit call..

He will be suspended. The ref threw the flag because it has been a point of emphasis and he anticipated the call. The Big Sky office does not care about what the video shows. They suspended Shreibeis from MSU on a bad call. They will probably suspend Minter on a helmet to helmet, even thought the quarterback turned into him. It is the football equivalent of political correctness run amock. It is ruining the game.

disagree. Tully's head was behind the receiver and not even close to being illegal. Schrebeis' hit was up high on a defenseless receiver and that is why they called him. Two totally different hits. Refs screwed up Montana's game big time. That face mask penalty was also BS, maybe a 5 yarder at most but nothing more.

Was a good hit. Best Tully has made. The call was wrong. I have it recorded and played it a few times. Also no hand grabbed the face mask on the previous 15 yard bogus call. We had a BAD ref day. Actually we simply had a bad day in just about all phases of the game. Our Defense was good. That was it.

Why the refs made such a dumb quick judgement call (that wrong) really did screw us. I wonder about a review by the league head office.

This whole drive was screwed up by the ref's. This hit was a great hit, the next penalty was a face mask which did not happen, and the actual touch down the qb was down about a half yard short of the endzone. I felt this was the true point the game began to shift in momentum. After this it all began to go down hill.

Schreibeis's hit wouldn't have been a high one if someone else hadn't hit the guy down into his helmet. Yes there was helmet contact but he did everything in his power to make a legitimate legal hit.

That definitely took points off the board for the Griz. Bad call.

Correct me if I'm wrong (it won't be the 1st/last time ;) ) but I think the NCAA did away w/ the 5/15 yrd facemask? Aren't they all 15 now?

Bad drive for us, but I think the game turned on Ngyen's fumble, not that drive.
