Big Sky Officials

There’s been a lot of really bad officiating all across Football this year. The NFL refs are having like a historically bad year and even the P4 refs have been awful. That Pass Interference call on Texas the other night was so absurdly bad it was unbelievable. Perhaps College Football would benefit from an officiating consortium like there is in Basketball, but idk if we’ll ever see that.

regardless, it’s inexcusable for a replay official to get a call wrong that was correct on the field. Especially after the league office saw today that the refs on the field had the correct call. I’m glad they suspended him for a game. The first step is accountability. How many replay officials are there in a game?
 
So was it the replay official in the booth or head referee on the field (aka white hat) that makes the actual reversal? Which actually was suspended? In other words replay calls them to take a look, referee looks in little screen. Which one actually says it is “good” or “no good”? If the replay guy in the booth makes the actual decision, why does the ref on the field even look at a screen when if he has no power in decision ? If both said “no good” after looking and came to a group decision why aren’t both suspended?

side note : Probably same guy that has been working a few Griz home games this year but just got away with some horrible calls

I think maybe the worst was the last play of the UCD vs PSU....that crew should be suspended for life. imagine if ucd looses that game...well they would be further down polls :)
 
I hate bad calls. I was a Ref in my 20's. Caesar, after the Battle of Zela said 'Veni, Vidi, Vici'(I came, I saw, I conquered).

I had a similar response after actually refereeing(I don't know the Latin, but my sentiments were): "I came, I sucked, I left." No stones thrown by me.😱🥵
