Big Sky Final

The Griz are going to have to sell out tomorrow to stop EWU throwing down 3s like free throws. In their two tourney games so far, EWU has scored 91pts. UM has struggled to beat Weber and NAU and EWU is probably better than both. Going to be a good game, or a walk away.
I do like the way Coach D is using his players. Now, Bradshaw is someone to guard, leaving Gregory and Dunn to really do some damage like they did against NAU...Good coaching.
Montana has a better bench than anyone in the conference so if the play is as aggressive and the Refs calling it tightly, that might benefit UM the most. If they do win, they are seen as a play in game, and I can't see either UM or EWU losing that. NO MATTER WHAT, THIS TEAM OF OVERACHIEVERS HAS PROVEN THE MEDIA AND THE COACHES WRONG. It certainly is the most exasperating but exciting team I've seen in years.

Bench scoring tonight was UM 16 and NAU 2, with Weisner not scoring. Gfeller and Krslovic combined for 5. Against Weber, UM had 15 and Weber had 5 (without Senglin's 25).

I doubt EWU will shoot it against the Griz like they did against Sac. I watched the EWU vs Sac game and Sac played no defense at all.

Von Hofe and Bliznyuk early in the game were being left wide open . Bliznyuk shoots over 50% from behind the arc. Why Sac decided he wasn't worth guarding out there initially is beyond me. Von Hofe went 7-8 from 3 and was left open WAY too often in the first half especially.

EWU didn't play much defense either, especially in the 2nd half...but Sac continued to play none until the very end when they started pressing. That's why it only ended up an 8 point win instead of a 20+ point win.

This should be a great game. Best D in the conference vs the best O in the conference. Kind of like in football. Hopefully with different results though :)

Eastern has the better talent and would probably represent the sky better. Grizzlies have had to battle to compete on their home court. We need to get quicker and more athletic at the 4. I think Travis is working on that. EWU probably takes this game.
