I can’t see any FCS teams giving up a home game to play at a neutral site. How can you lose that revenue?

Plus it sounds like a recipe for empty bleachers, unless is a Montana school vs NDSU with the neutral site somewhere with a beach and an all you can eat buffet.

In 2019 ndsu played non-schloarship butler in a neutral site game at target field in Minneapolis and drew over 34,000..

In 2023 ndsu will play eastern washington eagles in Minneapolis at the Minnesota viking home stadium, u.s. bank stadium.

If ndsu-butler can get over 34,000, imo ndsu and ewu should get around that or even more.

Fargo to Minneapolis is 235 miles and lots of NoDaks end up there. The closest Montana has to a community like that is Spokane. We did well for attendance at Joe Albi, but that stadium is gone.

The Big Sky is such a brown bag league, it's more possible that two schools with no fans to speak of agree to meet midway at some roadside site guaranteed to be just as empty as their home stadiums. Kind of like Montana's 8-man schools meeting halfway, which happens all the time.

I bet you see the the Cal Poly and the Sac area schools doing that, or maybe any team that gripes about traveling to Flagstaff.

These schools are so cheap they've altered the home and homes with the Montana schools for decades to avoid the cost of traveling here.

Why would we want a neutral site game when our AD can schedule home and home games with power house programs like Dixie State?

Apples and oranges. NDSU plays home games in a small city-owned facility and was able to double its attendance by a game in close by Minneapolis where there are a lot of alums. NDSU's attendance for home games is on a steady decline, averaging just over 15,000 last year. Montana's bread and butter is filling it's 25,000+ stadium for home games and they do it consistently, averaging near capacity. And there is not a Minneapolis close by, not that any Montanans would want to go to Minneapolis these days.

I’m a native Montanan and I go to Minneapolis at least twice a year. It’s a great city.
It used to be a great city. Next time you're there, look around.

Was there 3 weeks ago. Fantastic city. Sorry if you don't like its politics.

I'm from there and go back often. In comparison to other large metro areas I'd still put it right up there at the top. Will be back next month and looking forward to it!

What makes you say that?

Ima probably say because the Police no longer do Policing in the Twin Cities, ever since the death of “Saint” George Floyd; but I do not want to speak for Kem.

Minneapolis crime and murder rate went up in the two years before George Floyd's murder. Did he retroactively go back and make Minneapolis police stop policing?

I'm thinking of making a trip to Minneapolis within a year. If you have any places, sites, scenes, that you would recommend for a first time visitor please let me know.

There was a 58% jump in murders between 2019 and 2020. Is that not a significant increase? Can you give me pre- George Floyd numbers and not see a correlation?

I’d venture to say I’ve looked around WAY more than you have.

Minneapolis is a great town. Ima going to imagine your real concern about Minneapolis is their 2019 ban on naked white Christian Brazilian jujitsu exhibitions.

I had no idea that the crime rate spiked that much during the Trump Administration.

Fucking freak

Virtually none of the riot damage nor the victimized small businesses have been replaced. Resembles a war zone. Law enforcement reductions have led to huge crime surges and a very poor record of prosecution of offenders. Other than that.....

I had not realized how much of the damage from those riots has not been repaired. I have an uncle who until recently sat on the Minneapolis Board of Estimate and Taxation, apparently many of the businesses were in arrears and the city decided it wouldn't grant demo permits until they brought their tax bills up to date. Lots just decided to cut and run.
Can't comment on the prosecution, seems like they could be doing a better job but it's tough to pick out individuals in a mass activity, we're still trying to find old Nazi's and those clowns were murdering guys 70 years ago.

So long story short, you've changed my view Kem, Minneapolis is off my list of places to hang out. (though I am sure there are lovely parts of it)

My general rule of thumb is that if I don’t agree with absolutely everything going on in a certain place, then that place is a dump and everyone who finds anything good to say about it is a got damned whacko. Tucker says they’re out there teaching TikTok to seniors for the love of Pete. I ain’t want nothing to do with it, and it makes me angry that others do. I’m gonna go watch Gran Torino again.
