Big Sky Coaching Hot Seat

Missoula makes several million per home game, which translates to each additional mission because of employment. If the Griz ever misses the playoffs two years in a row, BH will be gone. He would also be removed if the UM moved up. He has zero chance of being the head coach when that move happens.
Why doesn’t he?

Best is certainly gone, but no way on Lamb. They will give him time. That Weber win was a good win. I also don't think Mental goes away anytime soon.

Bobby and Thompson are possibilities, but not likely.

Vigen may get poached, although I don't think it's this year. It just might be if the Cats win the natty, and then back to the drawing board to find the 6th best option again. That seems to work out very well.
The only place Sixx is going in the off season is a sleep study. Give mea fucking break.

Best is on a contract year, so I guess it's not at much as a firing but a "thanks but no thanks."

It was a great experiment, and would've been a home run if it worked out for us. He'd have stuck around for a long time if not forever.

I'd love to have Baldwin return. My only reservation is whether he's capable of reviving EWU since they were in a decent place already when Baldwin took over.

It's too early to tell but the men's basketball coach seems like it was a good one, so hopefully that bodes well for hiring a new football coach.

You can tell you've never run a real business.
We all already know Hoops has been super successful running a business, let’s hear about your “business”. And not your professional trolling, tell us about your alleged business that owns a box. You keep bringing it up, so can you back it up, or is it just more hot air?

Good try. And UM makes a shit load off playoff games from concessions, the bookstore, and game being on tv. Man, you're dumb. You can tell you've never run a real business.
That’s not true. Concessions and bookstore aren’t much. Tv goes to ncaa. It’s an ncaa event not a UM event. The ncaa pays UM to put on the game, takes the guarantee, and then takes the vast majority of the gate. Ticket prices are set very low. How dumb are you.

Wrong again. Don't confuse yourself with someone in the know. You're clueless about how the whole bid process and funding of the playoffs works.

How much do you want to bet on bid process? Tell us how it works. By the way, after guarantee is taken out or paid, the rest of ticket revenue is split 85-15, with ncaa taking 85.

““Hosting playoff games, the bulk of that revenue does go to the NCAA. This is an NCAA Championship event but we are able to gain some revenue off of that," explained UM Athletic Director Kent Haslam.” Late Dec. 2023.

The Missoula area make a few million per game if the game is a sellout. Historically, most playoff games are not sell outs. Last year had nice attendance.

Okay, let's bet $250. I say that the ncaa runs the playoff games, "hires" UM to put the game on, and takes the guarantee and then most of the ticket revenue (about 85%) I believe. UM sets the ticket prices fairly low, which can't be lower than the lowest ticket price of the year, I believe. This makes the "gate" even lower. You say the UM makes lots of money off the game, tickets and tv. I agree UM gets the concessions and bookstore, although that isn't a huge amount. As Haslam said, UM doesn't make much, but some, from home playoff games.

Let us know if you will back up your big mouth with this bet. I assume Everett is willing to bet $250,000, his usual amount. He's a bigger spender than I am.

Do you struggle with being wrong so much?
