President Bodner handed them the trophy. That what we needed a president that gives a damn. Engstrom first of all wouldn't have been at the game and he probably would have dropped the damn thing

The attitude of administration and the athletic department as whole is much better. I was shocked. With less than 5 minutes left in the game, the public address announcer asked the fans to please stay after the game. Much of the crowd did just that too. Sure in the hell was a nice change. Seth, Bobby, and Travis are all terrific leaders. They sure seem to working together as a team. :thumb:

President Engstrom was a big supporter of UM athletics personally. However, it was a dramatic contrast to his organizational meanderings that hurt UM athletics and UM as a whole. He refused to defend UM. We have been paying the price ever since. The "new" attitude is a welcome change. Tonight's win is a big one for many reasons.

Actually, former UM President Engstrom attends most, if not all, of the hoops games.
He was almost always there. I was, and am, a big critic of how he "managed" UM, but on a personal level, he was very affable, and loved UM sports. It was everything else ...

Montana point guard Ahmaad Rorie (20 points, seven assists), senior power forward Fabijan Krlsovic (15 points, 11 rebounds) and head coach Travis DeCuire after moving to 15-2 in league play with one regular-season home game remaining against Idaho State on Saturday.

Does anyone know why Karl Nicholas didn’t play his normal minutes tonight?

My guess is because Jamar and Fab didn't really get in foul trouble. However, early in the game when Chapman was working Sayeed down low I thought that Karl would have made a difference in terms of D on him.

Thread title worries me........should have waited to start it (hopefully) Friday.

Friday's also the deadline for PR to complete "The Rhodes Investigation". Complete and authenticated narrative with supporting documents required.

If UM can stop the 3pt shots Weber puts up (they are 3rd in the country) and get Braxton in foul trouble, this game will be cakewalk. Unfortunately, I think UM is in for a very good fight. Weber has lost 2 in a row, I believe. They will be motivated even though they are secured a bye. This game should be very exciting and Idaho State, if Stutzman is hitting, will be a good one. Unlike Weber, ISU has no bench strength and the bench is one of Montana's strengths.

The first sentence applies...

This. I talked to Karl and he is down a bit, but I told him we will need and use him before and after we get to the dance. He's a good kid.

Agreed, with both of these posts. Bodner believes in excellence, on and off the court (meaning school). Preparing students for life, and excellence in life, is his first goal, but he believes that athletics are part of the training (for those interested in athletics).
