Big Sky already knows it's a bust

It might be entertaining for one of the news guys from Reno or from one of the Big Sky Conference towns to go down early to Reno and do a street side question/answer session with random Reno residents like the night time talk shows used to do.

News person- NP- "Hello sir, do you know what conference Sacramento state plays basketball in?"
Reno resident- RR- "No".
NP- "They play in the Big Sky Conference. Will you be watching the BSC tournament this year?"
RR- "I doubt it"
NP- "Do you know where the BSC tournament will be held this year?"
RR- No
NP-"Shocking"

Ok that may be a little extreme but I wouldn t be particularly surprised if this would be the basic content for a majority of interviews if this was done.

We had about 6500 to the cat griz game in Missoula. If the cats and griz were to meet in Reno during the tournament why shouldnt we expect a crowd to exceed 5000?
Even for a hot game like Griz-Cats, in Missoula, the "visitors" probably number less than 500. Same if the game is played in Bozeman. The rest are the locals.

So, what happens when ALL of the game fans are "visitors" and there is no home crowd, and the distance is five times farther and costs ten times as much because of air fare and overnights?

THAT's why you can't expect a game crowd of 5,000 in Reno.

Yep exactly the point. We should expect more from our confernce tourney.

That may lead to the fewest beers sold at a basketball game since Mr. Oral Roberts challenged Mr.Brigham Young to a game of one on one in his backyard.

You bell-end, Brigham had his own brewery.

Here's a live shot of the Road to Reno! As you can see, a good number of the fans expected are already making their way....

The first good thing about Reno is that you can still find a Casino where you can count cards. None of that continuous shuffle bullshit like Vegas. There is no second good thing about Reno.

Rates at the preferred hotels, or one of them, are $69 on week days and $99 on the weekend.

Plus the resort fee, which for many hotels/casinos can run up to $25 per night.

Does that include the post-stay delicing, or is that an additional add-on?

Good point. $15 resort fee at hotel I looked at. So $84 per week night.

The lice hate the powdered sugar.

They still have time to promote this tournament. How about each purchased ticket is good for admittance to Sal Monella's 24 hr Downtown Buffet. School provided comp tickets not eligible for buffet offer. Whomever came up with this Reno scam is delusional if they think the' fan's' will out number the support staff (radio/TV announcers and crew, ticket takers, hot dog, soda, and popcorn vendors).
