Big offseason Injury, not UM

Eastern big man Ethan Price tore his ACL and will miss the entire season. Big loss for the Eags. All that leaves them with in the front court now is Erikstrup, who's a good player but will have to play some serious minutes now.

That changes the complexion of the top four teams. I don't think it drops them out of the top 4, but I would move them to #4 and elevate ISU to #3, behind WSU and UM. I view him as the best returning player on that team. They still have some good talent, but he is the best.

Thank you for including "Not UM" in your subject title. Who knows how many heart attacks you might have prevented today??!!

I thought about just doing it to mess with people but I knew I would be facing some serious backlash for it. Would like to stay in everyone's good graces lol

What was your source?

I tried to verify it and found nothing.

Yes I must apologize, I misspoke. The injury was not to Ethan Price. David Riley said on the Twitter Spaces that was hosted by Mid Major Madness on Thursday that Tyrese tore his ACL, I thought he said Price so that is my bad. Ironically though, I don’t see a Tyrese on Eastern’s roster so I guess I don’t even really know who he’s talking about. Sorry for the confusion!

No problem. With Ethan, Jones, and some others coming back, I feel that they will again be a contender. I know that they lost their two best guards, and that knocks them down a bit, but the cupboard is certainly not bare in Cheney. They will be good. Also, NAU and ISU will be better than anyone is thinking. It's going to be an interesting year, that's for sure.

I didn't see anybody by that name on their roster either. They could have been talking about anyone. I did notice that they have brought in a very talented 6'5'' local kid to play point guard. Sounds like the freshman can really ball. Their other PG is a senior who has been a backup for the past three years. They are loaded with wing type players, but are a little thin in the post. They can't afford any injuries there. Sounds to me like they will be close to where they were last year, maybe slightly down.

It was Tyreese Davis, a 6'6'' guard with a lot of talent. He transfered in from Jacksonville and they were counting on him to fill some of the role from the two guards they lost.

Tyreese was not injured that I could see. He just quit the team over the summer. No reason was given. It looks like EWU has brought in a few walk ons who will try to make the team.

Even with Tyreese leaving, they will still be a very talented team. It just means that the rest of the guys have to step up and take more shots.

I will be surprised if they are not in the top three at the end of it all. I feel that way about UM as well.

The scheduling gods didn't treat UM well by starting the Griz off at Weber and ISU. That roadie will be tough for everyone this year.

Maybe he hadn't been there before he signed.

Are you impying that Cheney is a crap place to live? I don't know much about Cheney. I think that I stopped for lunch there once. Not enough to form an opinion.
