Big Middle Finger by Fife to BH

Is the QB not the leader on the field? Who would yell at Bobby? Haslam? Bodnar?
Yes! Shit rolls down hill. A leader holds their people responsible. I think that was apparent yesterday that Bobby believes Fife is a leader and needs to step up and demonstrate this?

You know how long the list is of coaches in FCS who’ve even GOTTEN their team to the championship game?
I was curious, so I checked.

For current FCS coaches, it's very short:
Jimmy Rogers (2023)
Bobby Hauck (2023, 2009, 2008, 2004)
Brent Vigen (2021)
Aaron Best (2018)
Brock Spack (2014)
Mike London (2008)
Mark Farley (2005)

I loved it. Every bit of it. No doubt Fife was on a short leash after posting seemingly negative shit on SM last week, and when he hurt the team with his needless penalty, Bobby rightfully laid into him. And I loved Fife's response.

And for as much shit as we give BH (deservedly), I truly believe he's a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to motivating his team and his players, and I firmly believe most of this was calculated by him, and he got exactly what he was looking for: An on-field leader his team respects. BH is willing to be the bad guy if it means his players will rally around one another.
Bobby posts a running depth chart daily in the locker room before each practice (or at least he used to)

If folks remember, one of the initial reasons that Sneed was the “first QB getting reps” was because before the first fall (spring) practice Bobby had “OR” for Sneed and Jensen for QB1.

Very first set of offensive reps, starters get called onto the field and Sneed was like “nobody told me I WASN’T QB1” and took the initiative and just hopped in with the starters instead of waiting for the coaches to say which QB was going in first.

* note, this may not be EXACTLY accurate, but I’m pretty sure I remember an article or a radio interview that Sneed did where he talked specifically about this happening.

No doubt Hauck is a great coach, I just wish he would realize his deficiencies and outsource the things he’s not great at, foremost among them is the management and development of quarterbacks.
True dat. Could it be that Fife while a good QB still doesn't read coverages well? If he transfers it will be a black eye -2 years in a row for Bobby. Not a good look.
