Tripp graded out finishing the 4th best of all defenders last night, same person on twitter didn't mention plow Wilson graded out though.

Tripp looked very good out there. Some have been saying that Jordan was weak in defending the pass, but it did not look that way to me. I wonder if that opinion was formed due to the defensive scheme that was employed last season, rather than his lack of ability to defend the pass.

Scheme for all our lb's last year. It is not right to have LB's matching up on slots as often as they did last season. NFL coaching staffs will make sure their LB are not put in that position as often. LB's need to be matched up on TE's. Athletically, Tripp and Coyle are solid pass defenders in zones and not on quicker slots. They each will be fine defending the pass in the NFL. In fact the NFL may cater to their strengths more than college did.
