BH Gets Some Love in Vegas

Vegas boosters are like all of us: BH is bringing in a changed system, philosophy, and expectations, esp. WRs blocking downfield. That, more than anything else may be why the Griz were so successful in his 7 years, here, and THAT may be why Mariani is still on the Titan's roster. In fact, BH's emphasis on blocking by skill players may be why so many have reached and succeeded on NFL rosters. That's the BIG change BH brings to UNLV. Not evident on the field of play except to the practiced eye.

Vegans are circumspect re: UNLV's success this year, esp. since it's rated second to the bottom in the MWC. I'm sure BH likes that preseason rating. A good motivator for coaches & players.

Why am I so high on BH & staff? THEY'RE GRIZ, FOR GOD'S SAKE! To me, they still represent Montana, and I hope they succeed, because they come from Montana. I can't understand how anyone on this board is bored by how BH & his staff do at UNLV. Any success they achieve is a credit to the Griz football program, and I can't understand how anyone who claims to be a Griz fan can't understand that. Once a Griz, always a Griz.

Glenn was a good coach. Got us a NC. But, he wasn't a MT kid like BH & didn't have the Griz blood that BH has. Would like to have had Glenn succeed at WY & there may be more to that story than any of us know or need to know. BH may bomb at UNLV. (Make you happy?) I hope not. I really wonder where your loyalties lie. Are you for Montana, or just the Griz?

Way to dodge the bullet. Why can't/won't you give a straight answer? Not that I care, really. :coffee:

I have been a major proponent of Montana kids on the team and often commented about Hauck as a 5th generation native Montanan on this board. I will take offense when you question my loyalty to the state I was born and raised in just because I didn't jump on the UNLV bandwagon as soon as Hauck became their coach. Do I hope he does well? you bet. But I'm not going to become a UNLV fan because of it nor will I follow the program any more now than I ever did. I hope he does well but he moved on and so have I. My coach now is Robin Pflugrad.

Are you a Montana native, D2????
