better recruiter

Selvig or Tinkle??? Selvig directly responsible for the recruitment of Griz's 2 best players, AJ & Selvig.

Hmmm, I don't think so on AJ, I could be wrong. AJ was recruited by UM first but told them that they had to take Shaunte, too. So wouldn't that make Tinkle the prime recruiter? Whichever it may be, Tinkle definitely owes Robin huge for signing Shaunte as well.

agree, i guess just trying to give Robin some props. AJ now my favorite griz of all time, Selvig on the list, he has all the tools, just needs the confidence.

Agree completely.

Tinks still has no clue how to handle a guy like Johnson. He wasnt good enough to start for us last year, until injuries. Tinkle's strategy work really well the first half, make ten passes before shooting. A.J. got a drink of water ater the first half and told Tinks your going to see a dirrerent player the second half. A.J. was going to play his way, NOT TINKLES WAY, and wow look what happened. I feel cheated he had to play in this offense of slow basketball. A good coach adjusts to the playerrs not the other way around. Thank you A.J. for having the guts to play it your way...................

I agree with Stonecrest! I love Tinks as a human but me thinks AJ made this move unilaterally and Tinks hopped on for the ride and AJ was gracious enough to give him the credit.

Hey Guys, go talk to the Johnson's. AJ is very sincere when he gives Tinks credit and that the win was a team effort. The Johnson's philosophy on life is a whole lot different than most people these days. Sit down and talk with them, both of them are very strong people that live and stand by what they believe.

this team won 20 games, Anthony "Jordan" only won 1 of those by himself. Good for tinkle for riding the hot hand. coaching 101

What, exactly, do you base this amazing tidbit of analysis on? :? I think your dead wrong on this point. AJ has had a ton of freedom this entire year and it comes from the coach. Go back and both read and listen to interviews with both of them and you will come to the same conclusion. :thumb:
