I believe that we can compete against NDSU. The question is, can we handle the crowd... yes it's not as loud there as in WA-Griz, but we had stupid false start penalties in Bozeman. The Fargodome is much louder.

Better game than most think vs NDSU

The buffalos are pretty good, I hear. Probably got to do something like cover zero, put 8 in the box, make their qb uncomfortable, and maybe a couple other surprises on defense. Just got to slow down their run game, somehow. Then on offense, nothing to lose, get after it. The first quarter sac st. third quarter semo offense. LJ running, getting the ball to Bergen, Flowers, the tight ends and creative ways to move the ball. IF, IF, IF we can hang around until the fourth then get a chance, who knows, could be great! Or, some old, same old and game over by halftime. Defense gassed, offense struggling and we're trailing by three scores. I'll be screaming my head off - the wife has already made other arrangements-.......

We have two common opponents this year in Indiana St and South Dakota. The Griz beat/handled both of those teams more effectively than the Bison. Not sure if that will translate some on Saturday. It’s certainly a data point.

In all seriousness, I won’t say I’m rooting for you. Can’t do that. I personally think you’ll be outmatched. But as a fan I’m in a win-win with your game. You lose, and well, I like when you lose.
You pull out a miracle, and it’s good for the conference and I can take a page out of last years book and take solace in the fact that the team that took down Goliath, we beat down. Thus, we’re the best. Didn’t always follow that logic but after last season I’m a believer.

I don't think that's what they mean here, more that if we start to fall behind, it plays exactly into NDSU's strengths, so as long as we're close going into the 4th, we have a shot. Getting down 21-0 or so to start the game is the absolute worst thing that could happen to us.Dmontanagrizzlies said:
