Best part of the playoffs

For me, it’s the anticipation of a high quality new opponent every game. Win and you advance and earn the opportunity to play an even better opponent each week. I love the playoffs. It’s so fun to have a good opponent every week.

Great point! In addition, the swell of emotional anticipating leading up to each game, and the atmosphere matching the stakes. Some of my favorite life memories are semi-final games I've attended at Washington-Grizzly!

It makes us better. We had more than one year where we rolled through the pass happy BSC only to get knocked out of the playoffs by a triple option team. We started recruiting more speed and getting prepared for what wasn’t on our daily menu.

Extra weeks of practice time to develop young players. Chance to win the NC those are great but my favorite part is knowing that next Friday night while the griz are playing on national TV the cats will be sitting at home.

It's Great to be back to "Normal"

I was a drunken college student in the student section during the blizzard and App State win. I don’t know if there will ever be a better game played in WaGriz. That night was magical.

So was I! I was at UM from ‘07-11…..made nearly every home game and almost all the playoff games!

I am of the opinion that that was the best football game I have ever seen, at any level.

One of my favorite parts is seeing teams we rarely (if ever) see or play.

This. And it was even better before regionalization. The best is teams from the Deep South. In December!

That place went nuts when Trumaine batted down the would be touchdown. That game went down to the very last second.

I can't help but smile when I think of the kids from South Carolina watching the Delaware game. The snow looked worse on TV than it was. They must think they're headed to the tundra.

I know it doesn't look like there will be snow Friday night, but the 35 degrees still has to be in their head. I also know many of you will bring up the Coastal Carolina game when we all thought the southern boys would fold in the frigid air and they kicked our ass.

Regardless, I love when southern teams come to Montana in December!

My favorite post from their fan board (https://gopaladins.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4355):

I hope we dont have to borrow winter coats from the gamecocks this time around like we did in 2006 when we played at Montana St.

P.S., what appears as dna rife is actually gamec-o-c-k-s, but without the dashes the software corrects that to "dna rifle," apparently based on the concept that it is a reference to a gun??? I can't get it to appear correctly.

Read that again and tell us what that means...

Armanti Edwards had his jersey, #14, retired this weekend at the App State home field. He was their QB that December night in 2009 when Tru batted his pass down. Griz WON 24-17.

I was not a drunken student but, nonetheless, it will probably always be my favorite Griz game (although the recent Griz-Cat game is now a close second).

well I wasn't AT that game, but two games I WAS at were NDSU 8/29/15 and Scat/Griz in '21. Both were freaking amazing wins.
