1. E. Wash-I think OSU was overrated anyway, but better than K State
2. NDSU-I'm in Missouri and K-State to me was going to be a 5 win team maybe
3. N. Iowa-Still a power conference team and I think they were in a bowl last year???
4. Griz...they played well against a quality team
5. MSU-the team they played stunk, but they did look good winning
6. N. Colorado-NE Aruba Tech was a quality club...........

I will say Cal Poly played a solid team and S. Utah winning against an FBS (although D2 not that long ago) club are both there as well.

Notable games:
UT-Martin over #24 Chanttanooga 31-21
#11 Towson over FBS UConn 33-18
Southern Utah over FBS South Alabama 22-21
Samford over FBS Georgia State 31-21
#1 North Dakota State over FBS Kansas State 24-21
#4 Eastern Washington over FBS #25 Oregon State 49-46
McNeese State over FBS South Florida 53-21
#17 Northern Iowa over FBS Iowa State 28-20
#21 Eastern Illinois over FBS San Diego State 40-19
Weber State over Stephen F. Austin 50-40 (Pflu's Offense is back!)
#20 Montana over #12 App State 30-6

Both Villanova and William & Mary held halftime leads over FBS opponents but ended up:
FBS Boston College over #5 Villanova 24-14 (14-7 at half)
FBS West Virginia over William & Mary 24-17 (17-7 at half)

The Big Sky Conference went 9-3 overall, 2-2 against FBS. BSC's most disappointing loss (and only FCS loss, so far) was UC-Davis to South Dakota 10-7.

So much for a watered down FCS

Is mcneese that good? That's a legit win.

I was in Lake Charles last night, and actually got to listen to the game from the 2nd quarter on. Announcers were very impressed by their special teams, and actually gave the special teams props for the win. Their punter was doing kickoffs, and kept USF from returns early on.

USF's starting qb had a horrible game. He threw a pick-6 midway through the 2nd quarter that killed a drive, and IMO that was it as it looked like it would be 26-14 at the half, but ended up 33-7. In the 3rd they had another pick that led to another td, and killed another USF rally. For me though was an impressive 3rd quarter drive where the ran about 7 minutes off the clock, and got a field goal after USF scored a td quickly with their 3rd string qb (starter was pulled - no idea where backup didnt play).

When the 4th started USF scored to pull within 22. At that point the McNeese State announcers sounded worried, kept bring up the difference in scholarships and the depth of the benches. But almost immediately The Cowboys got a long td pass, and that was that.

One thing not mentioned much is that this win was the largest scoring difference win by a FCS school over a BCS conference school.

Two things their announcers said that made me chuckle. First when talking about FCS over FBS schools, the one announcer goes, lets make it easy for the folks out there, what we are talking about is a Division II school beating a Division 1 school, another announcer goes, no you mean a I-AA school. Both got it wrong, as it was a FCS school. Another comment that stood out was the were talking about the heart and humidity, and how bad it was in the Tampa area. Off course my personal opinion is Louisiana was horrid yesterday with its own heat and humidity.

They are young, and we got that future series with them. They could be very tough.
