Agreed, because it will almost certainly be another 30 years until the Griz are 5-5 again.
Not if we keep this coaching staff. It will be next year.

Let us do this then. We are the worst 5 and 5 team in the entire world. Why????

Because: our new and temporary coaching staff.....our young team loaded with freshmen......our University president.......our rape charges against 20 or so players true or not.....the NCAA investigation of the Missoula DA.....the U of M lawyers.......the Florio fiasco..... Pflugrad getting coach of the year award.....Growler leaving EGriz joining maroonblood......msu stealing our signals......AG1 losing his Mexican girl...."Silver Tips" lack of jumps into the stadium.....stadium lights installed......some players needing a Molly....lack of recruits.....Griz fans loving msu fans.....Hugs!

Or we are not worth a shit this year!

When we beat down msu with our weak and failing team it will make the sneaky msu posters sicker than usual.

Let us begin the "excuse list" for msu losing to such a lousy team.

Uuuhhh, there are 5-5 teams that make the playoffs??? ;)

To me, the greatness or quality of a team is determined by consistency (performing well no matter the situation or opponent). IMO, I do think this year's Griz team is one of the nation's most dangerous 5-5 teams from what I've seen. But they are just too inconsistent to be labeled anything more.

Especially with Dan Moore in the lineup, I believe the '12 Griz have a higher ceiling than even some of the great Hauck-era teams. Yet, if I was a gambling man, I would still put my money on the Hauck teams because they almost always were consistently good. I think this also helps explain why Hauck teams were so dominant and reached multiple semis and NCs, only to lose to a team that suddenly had an outstanding night.

The Cats this year are a lot like those Hauck teams, in that they are consistent and always seem to pull out the close games. That's the mark of great teams. However, I honestly think the Griz have more potential and a higher ceiling to perform to. Combine that with the energy and emotion that a rivalry game brings (things that I think have been lacking from the coach and locker room in previous Griz games) and if I was a Cat fan, I wouldn't be smirking about this game until the game was over and they had actually got the W.

Gosh, I hope someone prints up T-shirts so we can all go get one.

And next year I want the "Back to Back best 5-5 Team" shirt too.

Won't have to look too far to find it. The Bobcats have several years (decades?) of those T-shirts out there.

Who's the fella on this board who has the "Signature" that says he'd rather Move Up and be 6-5 or 5-6 every year, than stay in the Big Sky Conference? Well, he kind'a got his wish, and we didn't have to spend $25,000,000 to do it!

Mr. Mayor: that is when we had the talent to move up....
And still didn't have the money... NOW we're seeing what Griznation would look like with .500 seasons. Just put about 4-5 of these "blah" seasons together and watch WaGriz turn into a half-filled bowl. Oh wait, I forgot! New Mexico State would be in town and 50,000 people would be lining up at the gates. (Sorry Spanks, digging up the old, shit-hole arguments!)

Come back to reality.

And if the status quo is the same next year, it will be 2012 all over again.

Derp. Any 5-5 team will be turning in their uniform in two weeks.
