I'll skip the quote so we don't have a page of old posts just to read the new one. Its percentages not a sure thing. I said that from my very first post on here. Its the tourney anything CAN happen, but what is LIKELY to happen? These guys do an excellent job every year with their predictions. Of course you can't measure intangibles, and that is why the rating is 87% in favor of UW as opposed to 100%.

As to your point about the comments reflecting on your team... exactly. Thats what I've been talking about this whole time, while you interpreted that as my dismissing Montana. (IE the press/layup drill) Once you step on that black and blue court conference and yearly stats means nothing. But we aren't there yet so all we have to go on is past history and how games went this year. In those terms who you played is VERY important.
alright i got ya.....i might have taken some things you said out of context, but i guess i get a little worked up this time of year and felt i had to try and defend my griz haha....so i know this is not that relevant, but did you pick any upsets in the first round..say a 13 or 12 or even 14 seed advancing?

Hey me too. Its sports, it gets the blood up! Oh yeah I always pick at least 2 12's to move on, regardless of match-ups. I see Louisville and Indiana as the most likely high seeds to check out early this year, with FSU thrown in there. I've pretty much just been reading up on Montana so far so I don't have that much insight to the other match-ups, but i'm sure I'll be wrong more times than not.

87% is probably fairly accurate, i.e., Wisconsin would probably win nine times out of ten. I just hope tomorrow is the one, and not the nine. That's what makes the tournament fun.

this Griz team...7.9time outta ten. See, our odds are already improving!

As soon as I saw the draw I cussed. Wisconsin is good year in and year out because they don't make mistakes. They are usually very physical and very fundementally sound. But I don't think this year's Griz team has to have a perfect game and have the other team have the worst game of the year. This Griz team will have to play very, very good, and Wisconsin will have to go through some droughts...but that is very possible...this year.

Wow stubbins. I already said it but I guess you missed it, its a percentages game. Obviously its not 100%. VCU, Butler and George Mason are the only mids to ever do that well. Could it happen? Obviously. Is it likely? Obviously not. Crazy stuff happens in the tourney but if you want the best predictors possible those are the guys you go to.

And now I see your follow up post pretty much agreeing with my argument. Why the hate? Is it just because it came from a UW fan? The difference in tone between those two posts is ridiculous. I agree completely with your follow up post though.

press would be a nice little wrinkle i think...u kinda wonder how much UW gets pressed since they play SO slow adn alot of times press is used more to disrupt flow and slow down a team and not just to force turnovers (obvious forced turnovers is best case)

Many teams over the years have tried to press UW in order to get us to speed up the game. The only time I remember it giving us even the slightest problem was a few years ago against Minnesota. They had a very long and bouncy team that year and we had no ball handlers beyond our PG. I don't think Montana has the length to pull it off. Bo Ryan ran a full court press as his base D when he was winning his 4 National Titles at UW-Platville (something UW fans have been waiting to see for 10 years now!), so he is well versed in how to break one. If Montana is forced to press it will be a very long day for you guys, as we run our lay-up drill at the other end of the court.
they strike again! If we DARE to press UW you will just simply go into layup drills...sounds SO easy...not sure if your trying to be arrogant or not, but wow....press us and we run our layup drills hahaha.

I know right?! I thought we were playing the Wisconsin Badgers not the Harlem Globetrotters!
Don't forget, one of the "starting 5" of the Globetrotters is a GRIZ!~

This^^^^Bullshit aside we will find out tomorrow, the way it should be and that is why this tourney is the best....win or go home, good luck to all Badger fans on here, been a Minnesota fan for longer than I'd like to admit, can you you say Cazzie Russel, Lou Hudson and Archie Clark...lol...hope our Griz kick your backside but will pull for you if you move on.
