I was at a high school basketball game last night and saw this kid play. He's a 6'5" kid with a wide frame. In the game I was watching he was playing against one of the best big men in the state of Minnesota and he held his own. When I went to check the program I was shocked to learn he was a 9th grader. He has excellent feet, moves quite well, and good hands. In the game I watched he had good defensive technique, blocked out, and rebounded very well. The only drawback is that I didn't see him shoot because he never took a shot. I don't know if that is because he is a 9th grader or because he was playing against one of the best teams in the state. Anyhow, it would be a good idea for the Griz to at least introduce themselves to him and see how he develops over the years. Lots and lots and lots of potential. When I watched him play I saw hints of Wayne Tinkle from yesteryears.
