Beitzel Gets 3 Freethrows

For kicks, I just checked the unc site on Big Sky Fans. Despite not posting over there in nearly 2 weeks, I'm getting quite the roasting. Pretty damn funny!! 
It makes me feel so proud!! The fact that unc fans are still talking about it makes me more and more convinced all the time that they know they got away with one big time, to the point I almost feel bad. I mean, you finally get to the NCAAs and you can't enjoy it because you feel so dirty. That's gotta suck.
A few other random priceless gems I found while I was over there (mostly from 2010, but a few from the other 4 regular posters that site has as well :lol: ):
1. unc fans are going to buy "BSC Champion" T-shirts and Montana will have to buy 2nd place ones. WTF? Have Montana fans ever bought a shirt for wining the BSC??? I think we save our T-shirt buying for national championships, don't we?
2. unc will be better than Montana in basketball for many years to come, including next year
3. Will Cherry apparently sucks. No, no. Really. I'm serious. This is what 2010 is saying over there!! :lol: :lol:
4. unc's football program is about to overtake Montana's too. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I never said Will Cherry sucked, I said he was a terrible jump shooter, and he is a terrible jump shooter, I've heard Griz fans say the very same thing. Cherry's a good player, I won't deny that, he just has a gaping hole in his game.
Your assertion that UNC fans haven't enjoyed our conference title and tournament appearance is asinine. We had more fans show up Thursday in Tucson than we had for some home games in our first year in the Big Sky. We're enjoying the hell out of it. The only part of the whole thing that hasn't been awesome was the 15-hour drive back to Greeley on Friday.

Congratulations. I hope for a day that the BSC champion will hate a first round exit. That is not a knock on UNC at all. I think I would have considered a UM tourney berth and a first round exit a successful year as well. I just hope that maybe, someday, the BSC champ can have higher (realistic) expectations. Congrats on the dance again. Pretty cool for a program that was DII only a few years back...

I too thought that the Griz/UNC game was a little "slanted" on the officiating front , however, that does not take away from the fact that Beitzel is a very good player and will get his points regardless. UNC did not change their style of play against SDSU and you saw him get to the line 3 times, which is telling about how the officials let you play in the NCAA tournament. Griz fans are just disappointed to see a game effected by the zebras...really, it's over and everyone should move on.

This is an apology to UNC from a Griz fan for the constant repetitious whining about the officiating in the Big Sky championship game. 99% of Griz fans have moved on, but one chronic whiner, Playa Rape, looks for any excuse to continue this travesty of class, and start YET ANOTHER THREAD to whine!
I had to laugh when it was pointed out that that officials from that Big Sky game were working PAC 10 games, and even NCAA games. Yet, according to Playa Rape, they are incompetent and should not be officiating.
I thought the officiating in the Big Sky final was one-sided, for sure. But I think it had more to do with a small vocal crowd psychologically influencing calls made by the officials. This happens to good officials. I am quite sure the officials from that game were surprised after the game when the saw the big disparity in fouls. But, in no way did they intend to show bias towards NCU.
It bothers me that Montana fans, both in football and basketball, refuse to accept the fact that their teams might lose because they were out-played. So, some choose to find other reasons why we lost. It gets as bad as "new turf" in football, to officials having an obvious bias against the Grizzlies. When you really look at it, is is merely pathetic whining by bitch "fans" who really do not understand how difficult it is to win in college athletics. To win every year, like some Griz fans expect, is even more un-realistic.
So, take these whiners for what they are.....uniformed pseudo-athletic-intellects who embarrass themselves, as well as the entire Grizzly fan base, on a regular basis.
Congrats to UNC on their first NCAA appearance. Beitzel is a great player, who is adept at drawing fouls from players who are not as gifted as he is athletically. Against SDSU, the players guarding him were quicker, and better defenders. Thus, he was not able to draw fouls like he did in the Big Sky. Very simple, for anyone who understands the game of BB.
